  1. This is the clutch i killed at power cruise this year, been lazy and only just pull it out after its been sitting for 6 months. This clutch has done no more that 100km and was a "Heavy Duty" exedy clutch. The other side is still ok.
  2. Ive used fiber glass for the first time. Gets very hot in the engine bay and i needed to get some cold air into the engine bay. I didnt just want to pull the headlight out as it looked ugly and unfinished. Also go a photo in this months powercruise magazine. Better quality pics of brakes and strut And a naked frontal shot. Pulling motor out to replace the clutch.
  3. Upgrading the front brakes and struts. RX7 coilover strust, VS commodore hub and lower control arm, VT 296mmx28mm Discs, WH Statesman Twin spot calipers. 15" wheel still just fits.
  4. I'm still alive. Just thought id update. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PLloSAXExIE
  5. How did you go getting it running? have you got the security removed from the ECU? The engine will not run without the body control module (BCM), Commodore Keyhead and ignition barrel ring , this is why it only runs for a few seconds, it then cuts the injectors. You can buy a BCM simulator to override the ECU security or take the ECU and get it reflashed without the security. Did you already know this?
  6. i have 2 small ones from a motorkana
  7. completely stock, the early v6 motors only run 8:1 compression standard, but even later one will take alot of boost for a standard engine, i know of a few running 20psi and have done so for years. mine only blew the head gasket when it was getting 40+ because the wastegate controller pipe blew off (i didnt fasten the pipes so when they got hot they got softer and blew off) I normaly cable tie them, but this time forgot. i have cut and shut the inlet manifold to bring the throttlebody out the front and i run 660cc injectors with a microtech ecu
  8. Power cruise sucked this year, in the first 2 hours i had blew of the wastegate controller pipe and ran 40+ psi boots into the thing, that blew the left head gasket and blew out the rear seal. so saturday night the engine was out and by Wednesday it was completely rebuild ready for the Hartkids Show and Shine.
  9. coming up to another powercruise, so ive done a few things. New bigger radiator. First pics are from the last car show and the last two are the improvements made since. Aslo just fitted a heavy duty clutch as the old one was slipping and turned up the boost to 14psi The new wheels are 17x8 speedy saphire with 205x40 tires.
  10. went ok, i think i finished 15 out of the 36 waiting for the results still, was still running after dark 5:30 +. I didnt run the second run of the last layout. My brother got two videos before having to leave. Plenty of pictures here http://www.facebook.com/pages/Motor-Sports...otos&ref=mf
  11. Thought si might have put something up or forgot its on, I'm taking out the hyundai for a spin. Its in the pits carpark. Come out for a cone......................................................bashing day
  12. I maybe interested, but id need more details on location and space. Are you looking for storage or working out of it?
  13. fc fuel control, negitive switched for that fuel relay you have pictured, the fc wire should be the green. the black or black/white goes to the start position on the ignition or connected to the black white to the starter motor. its thick like the power wires for when in start position it supplies full power to the pump and is not switched through the relay as a positive. white/black is earth. black/red is positive Ignition ON usualy Or white?red) blue goes to the positive of the fuel pump. the negitive of the fuel pump goes to ground. the link to the wiring isnt 100% correct. but must work. White/black on a Toyota is EARTH/ground/negitive what ever you want to call it.
  14. don't do it, i looks bad. Even the ke/ae 70s the quad lights look ugly. Nothing wrong with the standard look.
  15. Yeah the wiring guy is going to get there soon  might be thursday night if the tuesdays tuning day at the track goes to plan and i don't brake something, then i can relax untill powercruise at the weekend.
  16. just been to the drag site. I can't be bothered, unless the inspector comes to my house :)
  17. I'm running 15" to 17"s, for racing it will be 15", but i have a supply of tires just need money to buy them.
  18. Jump on Just commodore web site and there are a few guys that car rewrite your memcal to take out the security, or youll find them on ebay and just request them to take it out when you buy the memcal.
  19. Not a good memory, it just that ive done a few and just finished my Hyundai with the V6. Skip the Vn computer go the later models, If your going auto most of the new autos are computer controlled, but again the wiring loom for engine and box are combined and only need a few wires connectec to get them going. Now as far a later model ecotecs go, YV onwards (I'm currently fiting one to a WB ute) the computer has to be with the BCM and Key, The computer uses a Flash chip and not a memcal (supercharged Version is memcal) . Work on them hasnt come too far yet, I'm having to go to a VT computer in my case (N/A VY) its not pin compatible, Wish i had knew that before. You can modify the later ECU's VS-VT and run EFILIVE, fully programable computer as you drive no flashing needed.
  20. the loom is easy to seperate, under dash has one plug of about 6 wires and drivers side front engine bay has relay box and fueses, i get rid of all the fues and relay stuff, Orange with black line is power on ignition, reds are battery, you neeed the red on the coil pack and red for the common on the injectors to a relay connected to the battery to power on when the car is switched on, Pink on the ECU needs Ignition Power on. green white is a negitive switch for the fuel pump relay, purple goes to the starter switch. this is for VN and this is enough to get it running. VN and i think VP don't have a BCM as there is no security to bypass on the ECU. ill add more as i remember. I wouldnt waste my $450 on a loom
  21. I used a W58 gearbox and the tail shaft was a standard ke30, ill i did was change the yoke to fit the w58. Wiring was easy for me, bit hard to explain on a forum.
  22. I'm not intrested i tarmak, they have stupid rules regarding modifying firewall that i don't understand. example of this was with rolladore, i was told if the firewall had been cut and welded i couldnt race. the car before and after me both had the firewall moved back for there bigger motor. the only way they will get me back is to pay me  i will get some times from symmons once it sorted and i shell out for some semi slicks. Id also like to do some hill climbs and motorkanas.
