  1. Shame you had to killed the fuel cap, not sure what happend, but i never ever locked it, and the drivers door lock key did work it.
  2. mine is crap downlow, i find if i don't get the revs up in first gear second seems flat and then through the rest of the gears feel slow, Giving it heaps of the line and changing around 7500+ it feels like it goes with lost of power, But thats a 20V engine for you, ive got my VVT coming in at 4000rpm and then the rev start to climb alot faster than below that and you can feel a little more pull.
  3. if you notice the bottom of the lower part of the sump is angled slightly for the lean of the engine, it should be level. hard reving my cause the oil to stay in the head causing less oil in the sump plus its angled to the right, the pick up could come out of the oil depenging on your driving style at the time. ive seen a number of the 20v engines spinning a bearing on the crank, not saying this is causing it but they do seem to have a oil issue. Better safe than sorry. If you notice in my sig picture youll see my 20v leaning to the left for that reason as this is my second engine, the first spun a bearing.
  4. Is your engine sitting dead flat, it should lean a little to the left or youll have oil drain problems, i the FWD cars they lean forward and youll notice the sump on yours it on a angle.
  5. nooooooo you can't have any, I only have 3 Full Sets
  6. Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. don't do it, twin head light conversions are awful.
  7. only thing i modified was the engine mounts and the drivers side exhaust manifold to clear the steering box.
  8. I know it was a little while ago, I'm sorry but what a load of crap, it took my tuner 1 and a half hours to tune my 20V from a base map (harder to tune than a 16V) its NA and it runs bloody well, and it good on fuel under normal road driving, It starts every time and idles, even at -2 deg in the mornings without even touching the accelerator and i don't even have a cold idle up or idle control valve. I know what I'm talking about as i am a Microtech and Adaptronic dealer. Most of the tuners i deal with love Microtech as they are easy to tune. I do agree with that statment about changing the ignition.
  9. Its all in the dynos, The local one in launceston is a little happy on the dyno figures from what ive seen. ive seen the same car with same tune get 20kw difference between dynos.
  10. Have you taken the resistor of the coil yet, It will be ok without it, ive used them for years without the resistor on 9v coils :lolcry:
  11. M&W Ignitions I'm unsure what you are doing, Why can't you just lean out your idle and lower load fuel values?
  12. As for multi coils not worth it? sorry but that just isnt true, M&W in sydney make a kit that not that expensive and is capable of killing you 115mj output it increases the input voltage 400 volts. with one of these on a rotoryincreased the HP by 30% as we could add a shit load more fuel because of the stronger burn, to get that power out of a dizzy cap you would be melting rotor buttons and dizzy caps. Also the multi coils wont get to saturation like a single coil at peak revs, you don't have to worry about spark jumping with hi power like on a dizzy cap at hi revs (like ive seen before DETONATION). Multi coil setups are worth every cent for performance.
  13. No idea of numbers at this stage, needs the microtech tunning, ive set it up saft, running a bit rick, be he is more than happy with it and its holding together. Doesnt take long for conversions at my place :)
  14. i would if he brought the thing around for me to take pictures
  15. yep, the v6 went in one weekend and out the next.
  16. The reason i was pulled up was i did a little wheelie, but he defected it originaly for the harnesses (SEAT BELTS), Well is wasnt even a defect, it was a safety check for them, but then by the time the third cop came over the thought he had better just check for oil leaks, thats when i poped the bonnet and he looked and said it all looked ok, then one of the other smart assed cop said "isnt that a commodore engine" DOH, But it still wasnt defected, he just said that better be checked at the safety check. Looking good dan
  17. Dash looks alot better, I really don't understand about the GAY white interiors thing people but in their cars.
  18. Good to see my surge pot giving life to another conversion :rocknroll:
  19. You sure about forster st wreckers, coz they don't know any thing about it?
  20. Its a bit late for April fools jokes isnt it? wheels are too big. I liked the look of it before.
  21. spitfire 2s FTW, Ive got 3 sets of them now, they look great on older rollas.
  22. Havent driven it yet, i need to put in a new diff, thats next weekends job, then we will be able to test it out.
  23. Piping finished, now the owner just has to cleant them up and paint.
  24. Today was intercooler piping day, i spent about 4 hours doing pipe work. Should be finished tomorrow, then before we go for a drive we have to change the diff as last time it was driven the sun gears shattered.
