  1. Bought some Sigma GSR pepperpots wheels some time ago, been polishing them for the last month or so. Put the R40 struts with the coil overs in, 195/50/15 tires on the front. Repacked the rear leafsprings and added 2 extra leafs so it sits a little lower than the front and have 205/60/15 on the rear, sits level and helps a little with the gearing problem. But i don't think i like the look of it this way, not sure what ill will do.
  2. Hey guys, This thread is really for spotting something new or unusual, Not for spotting you mates every time you leave your house. General chatting is also not on topic. If you feel you have something else to say to another member please use PM's or if its ontopic in there car thread please use it there. Please stop post whoring this thread or it will be shut down.
  3. they don't look like pedders lowered ke30 springs, i got a set and look nothing like them, unless they are soft the top is only just going to sit in the top hat maybe dangerous if they have been cut.
  4. you prick, is that who ive been bidding against on the Microtechs? :P
  5. bellhousing doesnt look to be a good fit, would you feel safe knowing the power and weight is going through only 4 bolts?
  6. Brendo, i have a complete 3k you can have, come take it away.
  7. LOL carbs being better than injection LOL. Maybe you where meaning single throttlebody, Because a set of quad throttle injuction will be way better than twin carbs:P
  8. yes 8kg i think are too hard for my setup, the front just doesnt move, so when hitting bumps there isnt enough compression of the spring for the shock to do anything so it feels a little bouncy, i have some koni inserts in the front and with the 6kg (pedders ke30 springs) it was still stiff but that was the shocks helping that now its the springs overpowering the shock. In the v6 rolla its got alot more weight to play with and they should be perfect for that.. Going back to V6 conversions, Ive just bought myself a 280se Mercedes Benz thats overrated condition but not running, too expensive to fix the engine so a $300 v6 auto conversion is on its way.
  9. No its not regoed as a v6, but id really be lucky to drive it 10km once a week I drive it to work saturdays and home again, I live very close to my work so i walk through the week and parking is free for me saturday, infact ive started it last weekend and moved it in the driveway for the first time in 3 weeks, Remember it also has a full exhaust with 2 mufflers and normaly you can't even hear it. Id have more chance of them checking the sliver 20v rolla, wide wheels, noisy exhaust, stripped interior, Harnesses, Decals, Black Tinted windows and it would be more defectable ;) Its all in the way you drive on the street. But if your doing bad things youll attract attention and get caught. Its now got the front end pulled out of it, I'm putting in coil overs i made for the 20v that are on RA40 struts so it gets alittle brake upgrade at the same time. The springs are way to stiff the the 20v rolla (8kg) some may say they are not but i find they bounce alittle as they really don't compress much hitting bumps so the shocks can't react efficiently. with 6kg springs it handles and corners better as thats what it had and I'm putting back for the moment. Instead of wasting them ill use them in the rolladore and looking for RA60 struts for the 20V. Ill also be redo the rear leafs, repack them different and lower the back more and put on the 15" pepper pots i have. I need the larger wheels to change the diff ratio the rear will have 205x60 that will be 2+ inches taller than what i ran at the last drag meet sa the gearing will be better instead of hitting the rev limiter and the 13" wheels wont fit over the bigger brakes on the front. Front tires will be 195x50.
  10. see now how hard it is to get many people to a place on a day. I'm out too being mothers day this weekend.
  11. The meetings where never STOPPED. Just because i wasnt going doesnt meen they stopped. You all have a free will if you wanted to turn up at the site no one was going to stop you. For your information, Simmons track days are easy to set up, If you are in a CAMS club its $55 per car and non CAMS club its $99 per car, You need to contact the caretaker at the track, you can find his phone number under simmons plains in the phone book, just ring him and he will tell you the avaliable dates. There is no requirements for simmons other than you have to be over the age of 18 and sign a form saying that you can't sue the track for injury or damage (thats why you have to be 18 for a legal doc) oh yeah no retread tires. But a helmet and a roadworthy car is a good start. The drag way is a different setup all together, as far as i know it will cost you around $1200+ a day for the track and youll have to hire a St Johns ambulance or someone like that and they charge buy the hour :S a guess would be $55+ per hour. But one option would be there is a test and tune day at the drags in Aug, normal cost for drag meeting is $55 + $10 for a day licence. ill come to the track day, i was going to do it myself.
  12. wouldnt fit in the engine bay of a v6 rolla, Space is the problem.
  13. you need to search! youll find mine if you SEARCH.
  14. I would like to see some pics of the V6 turbo setup as i have a KE30 with a VN V6 and i am turboing it, i just like to see other peoples setups to help me make mine, i have a idea of how i want it but if someone had a better idea ill try that. I'm a bit cramped for room in mine so i havent got alot of options. What size turbo where you running?
  15. It should do a 14 easy being auto etc, rolladore does a 14.6 on small 13 street tires and a 4.11 diff and hitting the rev limiter over the quarter mile mark in 5th. I'm moving up to 15" wheels on the rear with 215x60 thats neally 2" in diameter bigger and ill be able to use first gear for take off, I'm hoping to be in the 13's.
  16. every one that said w40-w50 is correct, will not fit w55-57-58 or 59 boxes as when i ordered the bellhousing for the rolladore i needed one to fit a W58, but they sent a W40-50 by mistake that was identical to that. the other W boxes have about 9 bolts and a much larger cutout like a oval kind of shape. One other thing to check for, when i ordered mine there was 3 different input shaft lengths so the correct bellhousing needs to go with the right gearbox. this my not be the case with w40-50 but may need to be checked on.
  17. wow this car is getting faster everypost :) maybe a typo 15.1 or 16.1?
  18. Are you using the chokes on the carbs? there s a lever that that pulls the main jet down under the carb, other than that lack of suction (tired motor), Big cam (lack of suction). tuning is usualy done by adjusting the jet needle on the main pistons inside the carb and the lower Jet is adjustable by a threaded adjuster that moves the jet up and down Also the oil used in the carb piston (accessed by the screw cap on the top) this will adjust how responsive the rev is. don't use to thick oil (could also be a cause of hard to start as the cold oil is too thick and the piston doesnt move the needle out of the jet enough to get enough fuel to start) and no oil will make it a bit rich when driving and may run poorly.
  19. When i say power drops off it like hitting a brick wall, you have to change gears. the SC12 will never move enough air. No it wont give you the normal power curve after the blower drops off at there isnt enough air. I can't see the problem just using the 20V as it is, youll be making 3x the power of the 4ac and the lower torque would still be more than the 4ac.
  20. sorry to spoil your fun, but the sc12 will not be able to supply enough air flow for the 20V engine. ive seen one done and anything above 5500rpm the power just drops off.
  21. Tassienats today, It the Summernats For Tasmania. Well there was a burnout comp. Enjoy

  23. this seem to now be sorted but i thought id add my bit, I'm using a early 20 spline t50 with a 4a bellhousing for over a year now with a 20V including racing, no oil leak of destroying the box, I'm using a standard 20V clutch plate that came with the motor and using a standard K tailshaft, Maybe the oil leak problem is the shims for the bearings between the box and bellhousing where not the correct ones etc, I used two on the output shaft and one on the bottom shaft from memory, But as i said it was over a year ago and it isnt leaking there.
  24. If you guys want to orginise meetings thats fine there are no rules about it, Its just I'm not going to turnup for them, I have alot of things to do and really don't have the time to waste turning up for something that no one else does. Ok back on topic, Yes ill be there sunday in the Rolladore for the go-to-whoa and Burnout comp.
  25. I don't know how many of the people have owned a v6 rolla that have commented, but i use mine as a daily driver and its not as bad as everybody makes out, Just upgrade springs and shocks in the front. Mine is also standard height with 13" standard tires, Its happy cornering at 110kmh on the highway and being in tassie all the roads are fun cornering. Prob better fuel economy than a rotor uses less fuel than my 20V rolla
