yep td04, triangle flange, pain in the ass i think, would have been better getting the correct turbo to fit in the first place. going to heat wrap the manifold but i don't think it will make a bigger enough difference. I have my microtech off my 20V sitting here so it maybe used with this and the coil packs to get us out of trouble.

No it doesnt have any other rust apart from the front bit pictured and one lower rear quarter panel. rest is perfect.

Been a long while since a update, the old girl is looking a bit unloved. Ive been working on it slowly most of the time i CBF, But it will get there slowly. Stripped most of the stuff from the engine bay and started taking it back to metal and filling all the unnessary holes, Removed the brackets for the battery tray, just need some weld to fill the holes and then smoothing, other than 1 lower rear quarter panel this is all the rust in the car, will patch that next weekend and shou;ld be able to get the rest of the engine bay ready for paint then too.

wow that first class...............Wanker. Why the hell would you cut the crap out of the rear guards to fit 20" wheels on corolla, the engine would struggle just to move those lumps of chrome bling. NOT COOL.

well if it public i would say that the normal road rules will apply. Council, National park, Forestry or Mining don't get caught. I think there are a few places around Tasmania for recreational off roading if your going to use one of them i would also think road rules again would apply. Looking at your display pic i don't think something like that would be road legal, so id say if it wasnt private land then its not a good example to others. Doing something illegal and advertising the event on rollaclub is also not a good idea. So i would just like to say unless its a cruise on a public road/car park meet/CAMs event or any gathering place that other public have access to is fine to put up on rollaclub. If you think there maybe a issue with your event maybe you can continue with it on Messenger or something.

Is this happening on private land with the owners permission and they know that they can be liable for injury? This is why its hard to organize such events, as you are not doing a simple cruise and the fact you are using rollaclub id be very carefull, everyone may take it easy but you could get one idiot turn up (may not be even a member, just read the site) and there could be problems. I really think the smarter thing for all involved would be to join a club, Motorsports club of tasmania is only $30 a year to join, usualy $30 for an event, these are motorkanas, Drifting, super sprints. That way the rollaclub meets are all covered under the CAMS, CAMS licences cost about $89 for adult and junior are approx $35 a year.

I guess the car came out with a 1600, maybe he wants to keep it in the 1600 class, so why not fit a 4age as a good toyota allrounder engine that is easy to get mods and upgrades for. A 4age is going to be better than ANY push rod engine in the 1200-1600 class.

Good answer, I wasnt thinking of the quad throttles. Yes using map is a bit of a pain in the ass, My 20V is only just drivable on the street with the tunning it has, Mine is tunned with map but not TPS enrichment as the older Microtech didnt support it, it would rather be off throttle or full throttle. but then again you can get a good tunning with TPS and MAP combined, The blacktop 20V uses map. Adaptronic will use both also and there is a Blacktop map avaliable for download dyno tuned for map and TPS.

why would you run a Air flow meter (AFM) if your running a wolf ECU, Map would have better results and less restriction on the intake air?

Shouldnt be too hard fitting a FWD engine to RWD if you can get a gearbox to fit, Every 4age 20V is a FWD motor and 90% 4age and ZE are FWD

I don't think a W series box will fit the tunnel, T50s arnt the strongest box, mine behind my 20Valve isnt too nice anymore, it grinds 2nd and 4th, and wont go back down to 2nd fast, and we all know i don't drive them that hard. But untill mine shatters a gear or just falls out ill keep it going:P

Maybe he wants to be in a 1200cc or under class, maybe keep the car with the original motor, Makes sense to me, isnt it also a challange to make a 3k kick the ass of a 4-5-7k motor, 3k will also rev better, smaller stroke

Ive just read this thread, I have built a supercharged 2tgeu with a sc12 supercharger, made 9psi boost with a huge intercooler,But no where near 131kw at the wheels, it was more like 90kw at the wheels with 9psi. the sc14 or eaton it should go well as it will flow more air, maybe a little harder to mount.

If giving simon the title of Reigon Leader (not that a tite is going to make any difference) makes you happy, then I'm happy to hand it over.
