  1. I have done some track time now, handles much better than i thought, turns in very well and spends most of the time sideways. I am now completely running the engine on a microtech including the ignition, added 660cc injectors. At the track day i blew a head gasket, its all back together ready for another tune on the track and ready for Power Cruise. Ive been spening time on getting the engine bay cleaned up.
  2. there is heaps on ra60 struts, i even have a thread on my old Rolladore (v6 into a ke30). I used ra60 struts and vented disks, i needed to add 50mm to the Lower control arms to fix the positive camber.
  3. 75 in first and 95 in second, i don't think so. are we still talking about a corolla here? ive had a ke30 with 4age 20v t50 and 4:11 and at 8000rpm in second would have only been 70-75 max. and a 4k at 9700rpm i don't belive it.

  5. yes standard is 130kw but lets look at the torque 292nm. horse power doesnt mean a thing without torque. imagine a 130kw 4age 20v 90nm and a commodore 130kw v6 292nm, guess what one will move a 1600 kg car for example. ever thought of putting in a yamaha 150hp v6 outboard motor in a car, they are small compact, But have no torque and would even move you corolla etc. with 9psi of boost i make 225kw at the wheels but 560nm of torque Currently i havent done a tune, I'm running 4psi boost, and only driven up and down my road a few times, but when this thing comes onto boost it lights up the back wheels and then i back off LOL. I'm taking it to the race track in the next few weeks for a tune and ill know more about how it goes then. I'm looking forward to it.

  7. Ive posted a few preview pics around the place but thought id better put up a post The Texas plates i got from a swap meet, needed some plates. It will never be rego'ed Engine: V6 VN, t70 Turbo, T5 5speed Manual Exhaust: Full 3" Suspension: VN commodore front struts, Brakes Etc, 4 Link rear shorten VN Diff Wheels: 15x7 Modifications: Lots Stereo Audio / Visual: can't hear it over the exhaust Estimated Power: 300 RWHP Car is now 99% complete, I have driven it, But still needs tuning. New fitted with VN shorten diff, VN front struts and VN disc brakes all round, Pulls up good. I wanted to put the interior back in as i want to enter into power cruise plus i want it to look as stock as i can.

  10. That does sound a bit low. I'm running 9psi at 225rwkw (turbo) on a microtech ECU. The original VN ECU's did make more power from factory than the later models. then the tune was revised and toned down a little on the series two onwards. I wouldnt think the SC14 blower was more efficient than the powerdyne ones, i think it would more likley the other way around. Every Dyno will give a different reading, ive seen some way over and way under. Also maybe yours wasnt really pushed hard at the time, If it was me dynoing your car i wouldnt have pushed it too hard on standard engine and parts feeding it 9psi boost. At 9psi i would be running a bigger pump and adjustable fuel reg at a minimum, also maybe it may have been pinging. Also Just a note for anyone running boost into a V6 engine make sure you have a 2 bar MAP, Single BAR wont take boost and a 3 BAR doesnt work on the standard ECU. have a look here, they achived 304rwhp (about 227rwkw) at 10psi on a basicly standard engine, but bigger fuel system Fit Automotive, Turbo V6's
  11. Wheel or flywheel, its 130kw standard, so I'm sure it will be more than that. But we are talking a V6 the KW figure doesnt really mean much its the torque these produce 292nm torque standard. Mine at 9psi boost makes 300rwhp (225RWKW) but 490nm of torque. this corolla was a handfull standard V6 but with the blower! good luck keeping traction now.

  15. Ive done RA60 struts into a ke30, the struts will give you positive camber, its in the angle of the spindle shaft to the strut, even if you where able to get them to fit the LCA, you need to extend either (ke30 ro ra60) LCA 10mm

  17. I think its great, those dirty old holden engines are half the cost of ca/sr/gte/gze engine conversion. Don't look at the KW figures, Kw are nothing without torque (for a s1 VN V6 its approx 292nm Torque) and this thing would have no trouble keeping up with the other conversions. I'm about to build another V6 conversion myself, Its not a corolla, but its something that nobody will guess. What are the rotors are you using on the front? and on what strut?

  19. is the air flow meter a Flap or hot wire type, if its a flap type check that the flap moves free and that its mounted the right way up.
  20. thats was all my gear once, the d5 is the same pin out as a digi and i have the digi diag here if you want them. but i can tell you what they are red is positive pink is ignition on positive brown is negitive and splits off into about 3 brown and black green is a negitive switch for fuel pump (my not work, most are cooked) yellow is bank one injectors and orange is bank 2 injectors ( but as this is a rotary ecu only bank one is used as orange is staged and can't be changed, so the injectors are wired as 2 in series x2 then put in parallel as the ohm of the injectors are too low for all in parallel) Vilot (purple) with a brown is temp blue,grey,brown is TPS Blue is 5+ volts, grey is signal and brown is ground there maybe another black by its self near the otherend of the plug what is for Air temp, Goes also with a brown White is ignition input and goes to the negitive of the coil Let me know if you need any more info on it. It was running on a digi but i took it and put in the D5. I hope you got the temp sensor with it or you may have trouble getting it to work. the supra injectors wont be too big but it will still be a pig to tune as the res on the ECU isnt too good, it was only used as idle or flatout on the car we put it on as it was just a thrash bus.

  22. The one i built made no noise at all, it doesnt sound any different from standard, The throttle body was before the supercharger as it should be. We have broken plenty of front shafts off the blowers by using a blow through setup and they make way too much noise that way too, Everybody wants to use them as blow through, but soon come back to be redone with the throttlebody/carb put before the blower. A supercharger is different from a turbo, you only have to look at factory setups.
  23. Shame your in SA, My brother is selling his ke70 wirh a rebuilt 4k, K EFI Injection and microtech ECU, SC12 supercharger, The car has run out of rego now but does go, Has a fair bit of rust in the usual places be he only wants $500 for it.

  25. Nice car, something different from all the drift pigs etc. Glad you stayed with the slant front too, the flat front with the twin headlights etc look crap. I havent read all the thread as there is alot of crap in there (Maybe a mod should get rid of all the negitive comments and crap) but what engine or plan are you going for or just leaving it standard?
