I have also fitted a late model toyota console. needs a filler section as the 30/55 K40's shifter is a tad too far forward, will make a mout and stick my tacho and make something around that.

Oh don't mind the duct tape. its good for holding things temporarilly while modifiying things

Just swapped the dash pad over from a cracked up old one to one that i believe is from DR1FT's old ke55. Also put in the head unit tonight. turned out easier than i thought. I just used modified factory brackets from the AM radio. Gotta love these japs :lolcry:.

Looking at swapping the gearbox for another 4spd which should hopefully stop the death rattles lol.

thats it for now. will get some pics tomorow.

Why not go for a ke70 gearbox, might make your centre console easier?

Yea, the console will go together with the 70 gearbox in it as the console was destined for my ke25 before i sold it. But I kinda like the tacho there. see what happens when i get another gearbox for it

Nice looking 30 you have there. So what Toyota did you get that console from??

A Paseo, Charl also used one in his ke20. has the center cutout for the handbrake. :lolcry:

Been polishing the wheels up lately. taking them off and doing one each night. get them looking shmick for the 2nd take for the Adelaide photoshoot. then i'll sus out another set of wheels and really give the JDM's a good going over.

Sussing out another 4k to rebuild so i can whack an SC12 on the side. Working with DearmanKE on sorting things out for both our SC setups.

Window, basically dropped put of the tracks on an angle =S. Myles was the first person to see the rolla (besides Murderess who took me to pick it up) and YEP, Just had to break something :no2: Took it back to his place and made the little bugger fix it :y:

Ok, been working things out and have come up with my plan for the new engine :no2:

4K, trying to find one in as good cond as i can find (avoiding rebuild if possible)

stock internals, head and manifolds (have got the 4-2-1 factory headers, leaving them on)

SC12 Supercharger. Pulleyed for about 7psi-ish.

Running a Strommberg carb in a drawthru setup.

VL EFI fuel pump

Fuel regulator

5spd ke70 gearbox.

Got a price on a 4k $100. SC12 $200. KE70 5spd $100.

In therory, i should be able to get it together and running for around the $600 mark.

Let me know what you think.

Nah, i think i should be able to stick to a 6-700 dollar budget, seeing how i can do all the pipe work, pulleys, mounts, fuel system and installation myself.

PLan will be to grab an A/C pulley off of a K engine, machine a larger pulley for the S/C and use the original electromagnetic clutch.

Design and fabricate a cradle for the SC using the bolt holes already on it. Either modify an A/C mount or use one as a template for the bolt holes on the block and attach said S/C cradle. then make a mount for a tensioner pulley.

Use a PCV carb plate as a template to make a flange to bolt to the intake manifold. Bend up 2" piping between SC and intake manifold.

Make a flange to bolt the carb to and fab the piping to connect the carb to the input of the S/C.

Mount the VL EFI pump in the boot. use the original fuel line (if big enough) connect the Fuel regulator. use the carbon canister to fuel tank line as a return line. or use the original fuel line as return from the reg if not big enough for supply.

Fit microswitch to the carb throttle wheel to de activate S/C at idle. and activate just above idle.

you planning on useing a 3rd pulley as a tensioner like i was planning?

if i can get my new engine running stock next week i should be able to come down next friday

or possibly the friday after but it runs out of reg the friday after but yeah, we'l sort shiz out,
