So in the recent few months I've managed to score a second KE70 shell for $100 which only has minor rust in the fuel filler cap thats it. So my future plan for it will be to get all the stuff required, build up the mechanical side of the shell and transplant all the small fiddly stuff from the yellow rust bucket. I've also managed to source some chrome bumpers and a quad light grille set, unfortunately one of the low beams was smashed in transit... Can anyone say time for angel eye projectors instead :P Tried finding some black projectors but can't find them in anything less than 7" :( Also test tried some 16's that a bloke was selling cheap in Darwin.. Fitted awesomely on the rears but couldn't even clear the front struts going on. Damn shame. Only other future plan for this yellow rusty thing is to rattle can it white instead of 50 shades of yellow.. And tinting the windows. Trying to sort this out with the other car too is a pain in the butt.. See other car ;)

WMMH: Driving the JZX100 after a bit under 5 months of seeing it being sad in my driveway :) Soo much better drive than an old rolla (Sorry all :P ) Another WMMH now that I think about it.. Being allowed to run, ride and start weights again after my shoulder reco :D :D

Thats another Saturday job. We need to redo the top left part where its all destroyed anyway. Probably bend some sheet metal and pop rivet it in with more bog and putty. Have to get rid of all the sikaflex the previous owner used to join it to the rust. The below pictures show how destroyed that part is too.

Yeah, all this cost me yesterday was a 4er of American Honey, of which I helped drink anyway.

Yeah plastic putty was only the end part. Used industrial bog with some liquid hardener that a paintshop mate gave us. Really though ANYTHING would be better than what it started off with. Had no structural integrity at all :S

Today.. Rust repairs! (Dodgy way due to not having another KE70 rear to cut out or the metal to recreate). Will be ripped out and done properly next year this is to get it through wet season! :) All good things about this go towards the mad scientist Hendrik who knows his stuff! So started off with the old bog job from the previous owner. Rip that out and get the wire brush on the metal and it seemed like there was nothing left! Some metal in and bog over the top. Followed by a coat of putty and another sand. Then a primer coat. Then today got some paint in a can over the top. Nothing but the best for this... *Cough Cough*.

Oh wow haven't jumped on here in ages but that is AWESOME! Where are you I feel the need to bow before your awesomeness!

Don't know why but I can't stand brown.. Too bright a colour I think. Carpet was shredded to bits anyway though.

So this week received my new carpet and a new rear view mirror. So much easier with a mirror that isn't wobbling on its single holding point! (Think you can see part of the old one in one of the pictures). Received the carpet on a Wednesday, decided I would do it on the weekend up until that night when I went nah ʞ©$ɟ it I'll do it now!

ABC is about it for me. If I can even bother watching anything on the tv... Which is rare since I never even have it plugged in.

So since my JZX100 is still waiting on panels from Japan I snapped up this KE70 thats registered until next year. 4K-C with Aircon 5 Speed Manual Rust in boot lip, corners and a bit around front window. (Really shitty bog attempt made) Plan will be to daily the hell out of this until the Mark II is on the road and upgraded. After that will be dropping a 20V 4AGE into the car because being in Darwin, Don't need engineering to do it :D (As far as I'm aware). Soon incoming is new interior, mirrors and sound system. Also spraying some black around the windows because I want to. Good thing about not caring about the condition at the moment is I can entertain myself with small silly stuff like this and not worry about how bad it looks. A couple pics including one of the new rattle can job :)

Bit of both a WGMG and what makes me happy.. Grinds my gears that panels from Japan take bloody ages for a JZX100 Mark II :( Makes me happy that I've managed to grab a KE70 for a daily while I'm waiting on the panels to arrive, just worrying as getting into the mod fix already with it..

Hell man that looks tidy! Awesome restoration job so far.. Any updates on it?

Try living in Darwin.. Every time I come back down to Adelaide its like HEAVEN!

KU31's are what I'd reccomend.. Found it was the best for driving overall compared to anything else that I have seen. (Both on my car and other cars in Darwin).

WMMH: Up in Darwin today there was a VE SS stolen from a car enthusiast.. This in itself doesn't make me happy at all! HOWEVER; upon hearing this a large number of people started driving around searching for it and reporting where they had been on one of the performance fb pages until it was found.. So WMMH is the sense of community that can still exist within places. :)

Oh that is hot! Would snap one of these up in an instant if I ever had the change. KU31's are good, apparently obselete now kuhmo has a new model out. Just means KU31's will be cheaper :)

I have passion for corollas.. Just my corolla is around 3000 km away so I can't work on it :( In fact I find it a bit sad I prefer my Corolla over my JZX :S

I've always heard above a certain speed the commercial GPS Units are pretty bad in terms of actual speed, it goes to an approximate or something. WMMH: Purchasing a new phone, doesn't matter if its for shit reasons just new toys are always fun.
