  1. Absolutely marvelous day. Beautiful country views, awesome weather, spectacular BBQ and some really nice rolla's to just look at. Oh and some great twisty corners. Hanging on for the next cruise. Can't wait.
  2. It has been a while. Many wonderful; things have happened since last time I posted. First of all, yes Cuzzo, I still have the cressy. I will see you tomorrow anyway and we will catch up then. As for the 4age ! ! ! The first motor which I sourced from SSS, decided that it didin't really need 4th cylinder anymore, so as I was cruising along the freeway the conrod let go, smashed a healthy hole through the block on the starter motor side, cracked the starter motor, then took the emergency exit via the sump. So it was rebuild time. A fresh smallport 4age was on its way. So I ordered all the parts and got to work. Everything was replaced. Pistons, bearings, oil pump, head overhauled, etc etc.
  3. It was an awesome day and by far the best yet! Sorry you missed out Adam, but nonetheless a very happy birthday to you for Sunday. It was funny wheather but we still made the most of it. And I finally got a chance to show off my long awaited KE55. I had an absolute ball cruising around with everyone. Can't wait till the next event that the Radrollaz club holds. Radrollaz Club meet up with Toymods My KE55 The awesome KE20 The greatest KE30's Our second stop at North Head The Spectacular drive down to Palm Beach The club at Palm Beach And we can't forget the ever so reliable, handy dandy wagon, which carried ALL of our luggage and extras. Again, it was an awesome day and we are always looking forward to the next time.
  4. So yes, there are updates. The car started for the first time a week ago, and after 3yrs in the waiting I was truly the happiest man alive. I finally got to hear what the car sounded like, finally found out what all my hand fabricated components worked like. Whether they were a failure or success. And to my joy, all was an excellent success. At the moment, the car does not climb above 3000rpm as it has not been tuned properly. But the biggest relief was that all the wiring that I have done with my Dad and good mate, just simply functioned. No better way to explain it.    So now all that is left, is handbrake cable, a few little touch ups, a proper dyno tune and on the road again. :y: :P No pictures as of yet, but I am hoping to bring it to it's first cruise on the toymods megacruise. Anyway, almost there, almost there.
  5. Ha Ha. Yeah, I do actually have a corolla. Crazy isn't it. I have totally forgotten what it's like to drive my KE55 and it sucks. The crown project, well I wish. But maybe something similar. We shall see.
  6. Hey hey. Count Jess and I in. And believe it or not, my rolla should be cruzin by then. Can't wait man. I am so excited. Finally there will be proof that I have been working on the car. I'll be driving around and waisting some rubber. Yeeeeeeeehhhhhhaaaaaaaaa. Representing . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .RADROLLAZ. . . . . . . . . . . .
  7. Okay, well I have definitely let you all down with photo's. To tell you the truth I have just been hammering along with rolla every day after work, well into the night some nights, and by the time I think of taking photo's I'm in bed. :D None the less, sleep is much needed for me. But, a quick update. Hydraulic clutch set up is complete, bled and ready to go. Same as the brake system, all done, bled and ready to go. Just need to organise handbrake cable and then the car can go back on the ground again. Then fuel system to be completed, and by then hopefully on the home run. :laff: ;) ;) :S :S :D
  8. Hey hey. Sorry about the very late update. As of late I have sorted out spark plug leads, slowly getting through the brake side of things and also working through my fuel set up. Again, as I have said many times before, I am getting stuck into it again and this time I really want to get it done. Will post up pics soon of progress.
  9. Hey, is motor in now? And does that mean that the power figure shown is at the wheels. If that is at the wheels that's awesome. I am just curious to see what the smallports can produce with little mods. The build looks awesome and it will be a fun car to drive to I bet.
  10. The night was awesome. Very well worth the late night. And Fonzy, I don't know how you do it but they are really awesome photo's. It was pitch plack up there. But that reminds me, that must of been what the crazy bright light was. :) It was great to meet up with every one again and just hang out, as well as cruise around with an excellent group of corolla's. :) Can't wait for the next cruise.
  11. Hey Mick, Jess and I will definitely be there, in my newly acquired hardtop. Anyway, very wxcited for this, have been waiting for you to post up for ages. Can't wait to catch up with all you guys too.
  12. Progress is still happening on the rolla. Up to bending and shaping the fuel line, gearbox is complete and rebuilt, thanks to my dads expertise, and many other things have been completed. But, like all projects there is something that will slow you down. My particular problem is the coil. If anybody knows where I can source a brand new coil to suit the 4AGE 100kw(smallport) version, it would be greatly appreciated. I am sure the majority of you would know the difference between the spark plug leads on the bigport and smallport. the lead ends on the smallport are very small, so I need a coil to suit that type of lead. Like I said before, any advice or help is greatly appreciated.
  13. Thank you everyone for your comments. Another difference I am sure between the 35 and 55 would be bumpers. My one has the rubber ends where as the 35 has full chrome ones don't they. I don't have any pictures of the interior yet. The roof lining, door trims dash and carpet are all in perfect condition. The seats have a bit of tearing in them, but I do want to fix that. Evan G, yes I will get a picture of the car at night, it does look awesome. I know exactly what you mean. I just hope the pictures turn out well. I will get them up soon.
  14. I purchased this awesome little car not long ago now. It is a very clean vehicle, it drives really smooth on the road and it is very comfortable. It has a fully rebuilt diff, a well looked after 4K, all rust has been cut out and new plates welded in, and also a full respray, as in door jams, engine bay, boot etc etc. :D Overall I am very happy with the little beast. Since I have had it I have only put the dress rims on and the eyelids. I actually, (quite surprisingly) can't bring myself to modify this car as per the norm. Lowering, exhaust etc etc. Although I think I will lower it a bit but not so much that it will be breaking back low. Just aiming for a little clean cruiser. Hope you guys like it. :) By the way, I am not allowing this car to hinder the progress on my KE55 sedan. :no2:
