wyldephyre Posted December 8, 2005 Report Posted December 8, 2005 (edited) Hi, folks. Got this from a friend of mine, who is president of the Brisbane Rotaract Club. If you're free on the morning of 18th of December, and want to do some good, sign up for this. Hey Guys, I need your help for a good cause! As some of you might or might not know I am president of the Rotaract Club of Brisbane and well I need you guys to help me out here... You might be aware that each Christmas the Smith Family distributes food hampers and toys to the needy of Brisbane. Rotary is the means by which this happens.... we supply the cars, drivers and navigators. Rotaracters assist us in this effort and I wonder if you could be in touch with your associates and see how many cars you can rustle up. At the moment we are pretty desperately in need of at least another 30 cars. Precis of the details is that each car collects 3 or 6 deliveries (depends on size of car and availability of driver and navigator to provide the time) from the Convention Centre between 8.00am and 9.30am on Sunday 18th December. The deliveries are in close proximity to each other and the whole exercise should take less than a couple of hours of drivers' time from go to whoa. The fine detail with specific pick up times is emailed to drivers early next week, therefore to that end I will need an email address, home address and phone contacts. Driver and navigator need to be over 18 years of age. As stated above, this event will only take a couple of hours, and what better way to get involved in the Xmas spirit than to help those more needy than yourself... Can you please bug your friends, family and co-workers to get back to me on this by tonight or at latest tomorrow midday (I was only informed of this 1 hour ago)... even if you don't drive you can still help out by being a navigator. Thanks for your time, --Alex.. Responses to [email protected] Edited December 8, 2005 by wyldephyre Quote

Corolla_Kid Posted December 11, 2005 Report Posted December 11, 2005 why do you need to be 18? i would happily do this but I'm only 17. Quote
wyldephyre Posted December 11, 2005 Author Report Posted December 11, 2005 It is a bummer, but I suspect there are public liability issues at work again. I'll see if I can find more info. Quote
