Hi all.

Went around looking for some parts today for my AE82 twin cam hatch... Bloody hard to get here and anyone who does have parts wants to charge like a wounded ox.

So one bloke would only sell me a complete AE82 twin cam seca (for $400... not bad but i have 4 cars at home and mrs would kill me if i brought another home... but i really wanted too, i love the seca shape but can't part with my hatch). Anyway i couldnt buy the car and he wouldnt let me strip it.

I did notice that on the front of the engine under the throttle body was a badge that had "4AGE m/t"... Checked mine and it just says "4AGE"... Any special differences and any reason why i should buy that car and swap the engines?

Also noticed a silver badge near the compliance plate that had SR then written something below it which i can't remember... Anything worth getting excited over?

If anyone can shed some light that would be great.

Cheers. Glen.

Hi Glen,

The Hatches were always a more agressive style over the seca to good work on getting a hatch!

The "SR" stood for Super Responsive in regards to the engines performance. The sticker M/T on the rocker cover means manual transmission.

Both of these stickers are also on the carby'd models too :y:
