sup dudes,

basically i have a red ke70, fixed majority of the rust over the weekend, now to priming it, I'm repainting the whole car back to grey/silver how do u think it will go with just primer over the original paint, don't have the time/patience to sit there sand the hole thing back, its just a street ke70 not wanting to make it look amazing. u think it will come up ok with just primer over the paint?????

Yep! that is the standard way of doing it. Primer is designed to stick to a previous coat.

Sand EVERY bit of gloss off the original paint, not necessarily deeply, but don't miss any corners or little bits. Then over it with u'coat then topcoats. I used 320grit for that sort of work. and 400 for between topcoats & undercoat.
