Hey guys, I'm new at this, so I hope I'm doing it right.

 

I have recently discovered that a small about of liquid is leaking from the head gasket so I want to replace it (and get the head machined, and new bolts obviously).

 

What I'm having trouble with is deciding what type of gasket to get? Should I go a multi layer metal gasket?

 

Also just wondering about torque for the bolts...

 

Hope some one can help.

If you can, get a genuine toyota gasket.

Take a look on eBay, here's an example, obviously you'll need to find one that suits yours exactly, so enter the model and year:
