Jabs4age Posted January 12, 2012 Report Posted January 12, 2012 (edited) Hey guys, I'm new at this, so I hope I'm doing it right. I have recently discovered that a small about of liquid is leaking from the head gasket so I want to replace it (and get the head machined, and new bolts obviously). What I'm having trouble with is deciding what type of gasket to get? Should I go a multi layer metal gasket? Also just wondering about torque for the bolts... Hope some one can help. Trev Posted January 12, 2012 Report Posted January 12, 2012 If you can, get a genuine toyota gasket. Quote
VBlue Posted January 14, 2012 Report Posted January 14, 2012 Take a look on eBay, here's an example, obviously you'll need to find one that suits yours exactly, so enter the model and year: http://www.ebay.com/itm/85-92-Toyota-Geo-Head-Gasket-1-6L-DOHC-VIN-4AGE-/360419813571?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Year%3A1990|Make%3AToyota|Model%3ACorolla&vxp=mtr&hash=item53eab1e8c3 Quote
