TOMsGPTurbo Posted January 17, 2012 Report Posted January 17, 2012 Hey guys, I'm fitting an intercooler to my rolla and I also want to keep the stock front end and street look without any intercooler / piping sticking out - in order to do this it looks like I have to cut the bottom radaitor support, now the question we hate ... is this legal? or am I going to expect trouble from the police / RTA? From my research it appears ok as long as some kind of bracing exists. Unfortunately I don't have a welder so i can't fabricate anything myself beside little metal brackets from alloy. Quote
styler Posted January 17, 2012 Report Posted January 17, 2012 Just brace it around the cut and you will be fine. Quote

TOMsGPTurbo Posted January 21, 2012 Author Report Posted January 21, 2012 lol i do more practice as my disc blew up in my face... its cool cutting and molding the car but the question in mind remains...."am i improving or destroying performance and how is this going to affect it under load" Quote
philbey Posted January 22, 2012 Report Posted January 22, 2012 (edited) There is bugger all structural strngth across the radiator support. Don't worry too much about it unless your mounting some kind of enormously heavy radiator. Edited January 22, 2012 by philbey Quote
TOMsGPTurbo Posted January 22, 2012 Author Report Posted January 22, 2012 Thanks philbey .... I'm actually mounting an enormously huge intercooler lol ... hence trying to make it fit!! Quote
