x3man Posted March 24, 2012 Report Posted March 24, 2012 Hi there guys! My name is Philip and I'm from Bulgaria. I currently have Toyota Corolla e9 2e engine carb. 1987 Liftback. I'm in trouble so I need your help. My vacuum piping is terribly wrong and there are some of it that is missing.. So I've found a vacuum piping diagram for my engine model, but there is a cluster of pipes that I can't solve out :( I'll attach an image of that cluster so if you could help me out with it.. I can start fixin' it but I'm not 100% sure that my solving of the problem is right.. So here, give it a look and I'll be very great full if you can help me out :) I've put some arrows to the cluster problem and the biggest mystery of my life is the pipes that come out of the FILTER that I've highlighted :) Cheers, Philip. 7shades Posted March 24, 2012 Report Posted March 24, 2012 The easiest way to fix it is to remove it... All of it. All those little one-way valves and filters are most likely blocked and/or malfunctioning anyway. Just leave one line going from the carb base plate to the distributor advance. Quote
Addicted Posted April 8, 2012 Report Posted April 8, 2012 7shades... NSW has yearly roadworthies so use ball bearings ;) and make sure all hoses are connected somewhere except for what you said... the vac advance Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted April 8, 2012 Report Posted April 8, 2012 The op is in Bulgaria I'm sure NSW law won't matter. Quote
x3man Posted July 23, 2012 Author Report Posted July 23, 2012 Thanks guys, I have managed to connect the vacuum hoses correctly. My fuel consumption is now low, the engine is running smooth and there is no gasoline smell while running. The power is back and I'm very happy! :) And again thanks :> Best regards, Filip Quote
