Help! Ke30 3K Engine Wiring Diagram Needed!

Hey all,

 

As title states, required is a KE30 3K Engine Wiring Diagram for the "Joely-Rolla".

 

The wiring is there, but we don't think it's wired correctly. After throwing in a working battery, it cranks, but won't fire. We reckon it might have something to do with the Coil side of things.

 

If someone has a photo, book, diagram, or knowledge of one, please let us know by either posting/sharing the photo, or section of a book of it. :)

 

It might not be much help, but below is a photo of the engine bay with the coil and wiring in it.

thanks but its not explaining the way our ke 30 is wired

i realy need to get a diagram that shows clearly the wire from the distributor and the positive and negitive wiring on the coil

 

i would go lift joshs bonnet but the loom on the ke30 looks totaly differant to the ke 36 loom

a multimeter should tell you all you need to know with the current wiring in place.

 

have you got power at the coil with the ignition on? what are your points like? gapped correctly?

 

if you compare to josh's car, as long as you have power where you need it you'll be right.

There's no spark whatsoever. The distributor it's wired to the negative part of the coil, and there's nothing wired to the positive part of coil.

 

The points seem to be gapped directly. There's power at the ignition, but none at the distributor or coil at all.

Swap the wires over on the coil.

Keep the distributor on the negative side.

What ended up being the fault?

Our uncle, a 30-year-experience electrician, came up yesterday to have a look at it, played with a few wires, and it starts now.

 

Had it running for 10mins solid tonight, so we're stoked. Only problems now is Stale Fuel and Smoke coming out of the exhaust. :)
