Trent-KE30 Posted January 23, 2006 Report Posted January 23, 2006 I have a 3K which I'm putting a K-50 in soon, but plan on putting a 4K in it. Now my 2 questions are, are 3K and 4K clutches the same? And do i only get my flywheel machined if its badly pitted and worn or just get it done anyway? :) Cheers, Trent Quote
irokin Posted January 23, 2006 Report Posted January 23, 2006 Not the same if I remember correctly. But I have put a KE70 4K flywheel on a KE20 3K motor. Easier to get clutches that way :) Quote
Rolla__Boy Posted January 23, 2006 Report Posted January 23, 2006 I'm pretty sure they are the same. And it is recommended to always get your flywheel machined when you put a new clutch in. It didn't say whether you were using a new one or not...they are only around $100 for a new one anyway. It wont wear out for years and years and years then :) Quote
Redwarf Posted January 24, 2006 Report Posted January 24, 2006 (edited) There is an early and a late clutch. Get a later flywheel, machine it and use that, with a later clutch. Edited January 24, 2006 by Redwarf Quote
Boost+k Posted February 2, 2006 Report Posted February 2, 2006 the 3k flywheel is lighter than the 4k one.. Quote
