I have noticed for a long while that under the bonnet there are 4 holes at the top of the strut, but only 3 holes used. I have read some where that if lh rh struts are rotated to the other sides and the opposite holes are used this makes handling more assertive. It could of been in one of my many dreams or I did in fact read it somewhere and can't find where. I have no Idea what I would search for. I am only a noob, and due to this I thank and welcome your advice

The carby/single camshaft models strut-tops only have three bolts, whereas the 4AGE models used four. Might you be thinking of the trick of rotating the Twin Cam strut tops 180 degrees to obtain more castor angle?

carbonboy, Just checked mine again. She is a non-seca hatch with a 2A-LC motor and I have the one facing the front and Left and right used. Rear bolt hole has black plugs in both sides. I heard current way is Granny handling and reversing it it makes them more aggressive

For real? Here I was thinking I was the only poor bugger with one of these! 4 speed manual?

I have no idea what rotating the single-cam strut-tops will do, either good or bad. The only way to know for sure would be to do a before & after comparison using a wheel alignment shop or DIY-ing it at home.

Ooh, automatic, not much fun hey? They're not rocketship in a straight line but if you keep the momentum up through the corners, they are a bit of fun. Almost ANY wheels are better than the 13"x5" standard steelies.

I don't forsee a conversion in the near future but if it does happen I'll let you know about the drivetrain.

You can turn them around but you have to take the rubber grommet out for the other hole. It adds a bit of caster if they are on the rear side of the elongated hole of the strut tower.
