Ke10 4X114.3 Conversion, Bolt On Conversion... Read If Interested

Since playing with Datsun 1200's for the last 3 weeks I've noticed one thing.... They have the same diff as a KE10. I blew my Datsun diff, and i looked the KE10 diff's i had lying around and they were exactly the same.. Different stud pattern and tailshaft flange.

The Borgwarner Model 60 rear diff... So i'm thinking the people with Borg Warner diffs in their KE10's could potentially unbolt the axles out, and put Datsun 1200 Axles which are 4x114.3 and then put KE20 discs with 30 hubs and have a 4x114.3 conversion for probably around $50-200 depending on how cheap you get the parts....

 

Somebody should try it. I tried to get my Borgy axle out and it wouldn't come apart so gave up lol!

Wow that's handy to know, converting the rears is always the hard bit on KE10's.

I don't have any axles to try it. Instead I'm going ke30 jap axles and drums

Is this the leaf spring Datsun diff of the coil spring diff?
