Ke26wagz Posted August 28, 2012 Report Share Posted August 28, 2012 (edited) ok so i have a ke26 wagon (the gold one you may have seen around) and I'm building it up again from scratch because it got written off and i got payed out by shannons. i want to get it back on the road with a fresh paint job, worked 7k with a very smooth and clean engine bay, brand new interior, coil overs + adj. camber tops, and big brakes. (all the good stuff) Basically I have my 15" simmons (110mm stud pattern) and i want to keep them and its seaming near impossible to get big brakes and maintain the 110 stud pattern. can anyone help me out with strut/ hub/ brake combos that will allow me to continue to run the 110 stud pattern? any info will be helpful cheers, aaron - xke-26x Edited August 28, 2012 by Ke26wagz Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
kickn5k Posted August 28, 2012 Report Share Posted August 28, 2012 Nup your out of luck!! Just kidding. It can be done, but will require some mods to get a setup right. My ke-11 with ke-55 front brakes(uses ke20 hubs) and std drums on the rear, pulls up quite well. That's with no booster either. styler Posted August 28, 2012 Report Share Posted August 28, 2012 There is hope in early mazda struts which have 110mmx4 pcd hubs and have been put in some early rollas I think the disc mount is behind hub and also 110mmx4 pcd, just have to check that one. You just get one of the big brake upgrade options for the early mazda and away you go after checking rim to caliper clearance. Else redrill some suitable discs at 45 deg to original pattern into blank section but thats part of an entire brake conversion which has many other factors to consider as well. Ke26wagz Posted August 28, 2012 Author Report Share Posted August 28, 2012 thanks for the replies, ahh i already have ke70 discs/ callipers atm so I'm looking to further upgrade that i have heard abit about rx7 s1/2 struts and then further upgrading those breaks but I'm worried that the bottom of the strut wont be compatible with the ke components :/ does anyone know of any ke2x corollas that have big break conversions but maintain the stud pattern?
