Can anyone tell me if this 4agze engine is a map or airflow type?

It is DLI (cas) so it will be a smallport and map.

Another question regarding this.

 

I am worried I have the wrong computer with this engine:

 

The part number is :

 

89661‑12170

 

Is this the correct computer for a smallport MAP?

ECU is correct.

If you look at this ebay link they are selling the same ecu with this part number and saying its for the early big port AFM engine?

Considering that they said DLI bigport, I am fairly sure you know your answer, do a google.

I just found some info that states that the bigport also came as an AFM dli in the GTZ levin, yours will be this.

Ok so we are sure I have a DLI (cas) smallport and map 4agze engine.

But my computer is for DLI bigport AFM,

 

so I have the wrong ECU for my 4agze.

 

I have googled it and its looks like that computer is for a bigport

What do I need to get this working?

I do not want to pay someone to hook up the electrics only to find out its the wrong loom and ecu

No I am saying that I didn't realise that the bigport also came as a DLI ignition with an AFM, going by what you have, yours will be a bigport from a AE92 GTZ Levin so the ecu will be correct.

problem is I never got a AFM when I bought the engine??

 

Not really sure what to do now as I want to keep the factory ECU

I really don't want to run an AFM.

 

Can I get a loom and computer from a MAP engine and run that?

There is a dude over at AE86DC selling a AE101 Loom but with no ecu.

 

Could I get that loom and find a ECU to work with it?
