ok so maybe a weird question..

 

I am wanting to know how far a standard 4age will actually rev to in standard form with all rev limiters disconnected.

 

I am wondering if it will actually reach its blow up point or not for tuning purposes.

original rev limiter 7800 i think from hours of looking yesterday.

 

what is usually its first problem?

 

valve springs/bottom end?

Depends on each actual engine as well.. They're nearly 30 years old and half haven't been rebuilt..

 

Also some are very unbalanced we've found out..

 

But as a specific number i can't help i'm afraid.

am i right that the original rev limiter was 7700?
