RollaGirl Posted February 14, 2006 Report Posted February 14, 2006 Hey, I have a ke55 rolla and it's white right now but am wanting to get it sprayed can anyone suggest what colour i should do it? Quote
coln72 Posted February 14, 2006 Report Posted February 14, 2006 whats your favourite colour????? What can you spend????? Maybe XR6 Blood Orange or a purple. Quote
Tiger Posted February 14, 2006 Report Posted February 14, 2006 Welcome aboard RollaGirl :P You can either the Ford True Blue, the Blood ORange as mentioned above as crazy color, the Phantom Purple or the Yello on the new XR6 is pretty hot. Hothouse Green from the Holden's looks good. Don't touch Tiger Mica (that's my color :P ) uhm, the Ford Probe purple would be a different color to get, it's got a light chameleon effect in it. What colors did you have in mind? Quote
RollaGirl Posted February 14, 2006 Author Report Posted February 14, 2006 (edited) My favourite colour is purple, But i don't wanna do it that colour because i wanna have a colour that is going to stand out like dogs balls. Yeah the blood Orange sounds good. Money is not a problem. I was thinking some type off a green colour but i want a colour that is going to suit my car. Thats what i am unsure bout the colours that are going to look hot on a ke55. Edited March 28, 2006 by RollaGirl Quote
Tiger Posted February 14, 2006 Report Posted February 14, 2006 Rolln16.. get your ass in here now and advise on a color... she is my color co-ordinator! hahaha :P Well, blood orange is a very bold color.. the green is an easier color to live with, as it's not as bright, but still an eye grabber. More subtle, I guess. Quote
Rolln16 Posted February 14, 2006 Report Posted February 14, 2006 Hi RollaGirl, Great to see another lady member... In my opinion...i like aqua green for a colour... there is actually a ke55 on Toymods that is aqua and it looks very nice. You could even get a nice metallic version of this. Or then again you could go a nice treefrog green in a metallic glitter...yummy... Are you wanting a single flat colour or something fancy? Dual colours, themed design? You can really could make any colour suit your car if you wanted... lol i didnt even see your post tiger... Quote
RollaGirl Posted February 14, 2006 Author Report Posted February 14, 2006 Thanks! I am having a bit off a theme to the car, I'm not to keen on air brushing but i am going to get a lizzard sprayed on the bonnet. so maybe the car one colour green and the frog a darker colour green or the other way around. It will be a shame to get rid off the interiour as it is all original and in perfect condition looks as good as new! But brown has gotta go! Quote
Rolln16 Posted February 14, 2006 Report Posted February 14, 2006 oH oH oH !!!! jumps up and down... you have just given me the bestest ideas..... Now was it a frog or a lizard??? Quote
Tiger Posted February 14, 2006 Report Posted February 14, 2006 Not keen on airbrushing, but you're doing your bonnet? :P haha. Sorry, that was ironic, that's all :P Contrast is good :) Don't need to loose the shape of the interior, you just replace the cloth/vinyl inserts. That usually works out alot cheaper on retrim costs. RollaGirl Posted February 14, 2006 Author Report Posted February 14, 2006 LOL, Yeah i know that must have sounded funny. But sometimes when i see airbrushing on some cars it looks dog shit. Thats why i am not to keen because i don't wanna get it done then it look shit house. Thanks for that handy dandy tip! It was a lizard but i guess a frog could work as well. Quote
Rolln16 Posted February 14, 2006 Report Posted February 14, 2006 lol you said both so that is why i asked... hang on a sec for me... Quote
RollaGirl Posted February 14, 2006 Author Report Posted February 14, 2006 LOL i did too! what a spaz am i! Quote
Tiger Posted February 14, 2006 Report Posted February 14, 2006 Here's a post which I made a while back for my project, which is a KE55 sedan also :Link This will hopefully shed some light on schemes and designs to keep in mind with your project too :P Quote
Rolln16 Posted February 14, 2006 Report Posted February 14, 2006 okay...sorry needed to change computers... Heres what I'm thinking...if you go a dark green lizard with a yellow underbelly sort of like a frog... then you can paint the car kermit green but along the sideskirts and the wheel arches you can let it blend into a yellow ( i know airbrushing) Then you can have your lizard draped over the bonnet with its tail either heading towards the windscreen or down over one of the wheel arches... and to add a dash of difference make it a cheeky lizard like on the bridgestone tyre add (i think) and have him poking his tongue out...
