Hey all hopefully someone can help me out today or tomorrow with some wiring info.

The issue is i installed a 5k with 5speed into my ke20 which was 3k auto that i received not hooked up or running. The alternator on the 5k has a 3 prong plug on the back of it and my loom only has a 2 prong plug in it? What do i have to do to hook it up? I've done my research and all the topics I've found the ke20s have 3 prong plugs in their looms not 2 so I'm kinda stumped. Also had a look at my ke10 to see if it was same and could help but that has 3 prong plug in its loom too so not much help.

Just use your original 3k alternator...keep it how it was!

yea waiting on a mate to bring it round but from memory its just a single wire not double. soon find out

I just recently did the same conversion, You need the upper alternator adjust bracket off your 3k engine and the alternator itself... the bottom bracket is the same. should bolt straight up otherwise.

 

You will need to take the fan and pull off the engines to get the upper bracket out as its bolt is behind that.
