I did a head exchange on my ae71 as it was cracked and I'm having a bit of trouble with the seal behind the cam gear. I got 4 different seals with the top set (1 rubber 3 metal) so a little confused as to which one/s go in and at what order?

Pretty sure the rubber one is the seal and the steel ones are shims

Can you upload a photo of what you've got? I'm looking at an exploded diagram of a 4A-C & can't quite figure what you mean. :(

Sounds like the cam seal and the exhaust flange rings.
