Fayt
hey everyone for some reason my ke10's lights flicker and I have no idea why i did a check on the battery and the volts jump up and down which is whats triggering the flickering, but i don't know what is making the volts jump up and down its got a new regulator on it and I installed a brand new altinator to it today, but it still does it  the flickering stops when its put under load "eg braking" its not the regulator, its not the altinator, so what the hell could it be? could it have a crook earth somewhere?? does anyone know of something else that could be triggering this?? thanks guys :y:
Rolla__Boy
Crook earth is the most likely thing. On my KE35, I couldn't get the battery to charge, I took it to an auto elec, they tested the altenator on the plug on the back, and it was charging fine, so I ran a new (second) wire from the alt to the battery, and it fixed everything, so given that your car is so old, it could easily be a problem somewhere in the wiring. But my first guess would be earths. Check them ALL

Tiger
It wouldn't hurt to upgrade your wiring on the car from time to time. 4g wiring for all your earths wouldn't be a bad starting point :y: I'll be dong 0g, but I'm psycho  plus, my car is going to have a high electrical load to deal with, so it's gonna need it. Robert
The passenger side headlight on my KE55 only comes on some of the time: like when i accelerate really fast or if I shake the wires or headlight. I think it might be a loose or broken wire, maybe you should check if your wiring is damaged
Fayt
all my electrics work fine its just that something is making the battery being overcharged and jumping the volts up and down, the obvious answer would be the altinator but thats brand new  I'm gonna pull out the altinator and regulator and get them checked, as this problem is giving me the willies :y:
