nerfbat Posted September 7, 2013 Author Report Posted September 7, 2013 took my Chaly on a date, today took her voting my father in law spammed me with vote literature as i entered. then took her to Master's for a big locking chain, a snag or 7, and a coke as i was entering, 2 of the kids from the Scouts sausage sizzle asked about the bike, and i told them a little about it. and as i was heading in, they asked if i would buy a sausage, i replied "If you guys keep an eye on my bike, i'll buy a few" this pic also shows the air filter cap painted satin black by Benny. love the look Quote
nerfbat Posted September 7, 2013 Author Report Posted September 7, 2013 got a call from Derek, asking if i was keen for a ride, and i say "Heck yeah!" arrived at his house, took this pic pre ride check We rode from Toowoomba, down Flagstone ck, pulled up for a quick break Derek took the Chaly for a ride we then went to Withcott, to fuel up, then went to Murphy'c ck pub, for a coldie. while there, the barmaid mentioned across the rd, there was a QLD Classic Motorcycle Club meet. so we went over parked near some and took some pics to try and make it look like we were part of the show Quote
nerfbat Posted September 7, 2013 Author Report Posted September 7, 2013 wont show too many pics of the show apart from this amazing bike a 1915 Ariel this thing was gorgeous..! reved to 1,100 (eleven hundred) revs, top speed of 40 running out of light so we took off for town, via Mt Kynoch. think we did close to 100 kms of trouble free riding. this Chaly is perfect now..! i cannot thank you enough, Benny BRM motorcycle Engineering big things coming from there feels solid, goes well for an 88cc. very stoked Quote
nerfbat Posted September 8, 2013 Author Report Posted September 8, 2013 a short clip of a mate taking her for a squirt, during its voyage Quote
nerfbat Posted October 26, 2013 Author Report Posted October 26, 2013 got a call from Johnny asking if i was up for a crusie, but as i was fixing the gearbox at the time, i said sorry, can't. but would keep him posted. a couple hours later, i felt it was changing ok, so i took her around Prince Henry Drive, and it ran well, so i rang Johnny back ans said if you're up for a quick run, i would be keen(it was near 5pm by then) one thing leads to another, and we end up at Murphy's Ck Bar, again, coldie in hand Johnny with his original looking Chaly(has a 150 Lifan in her tho looking into going a bigger engine for her. can get a Daytona Anima 190(all bot right in) for $1300. or just get a Lifan 125 with a type R head for $300 posted its a cruiser, not a racer, so i am leaning towards the cheaper, lighter, smaller option thoughts?
