^Sure can. As far as I know, if it was made before a certain year you don't need a compliance plate to get it rego'd. But after that Honda started putting compliance plates on them.

Edit: Anything after 1976 needs to have a compliance plate.

I did a whole lot of research a few years ago, I was planning on getting a 70s Honda monkey but for some reason that I can no longer recall I decided against it. I seriously wish I bought one.

Have you spoken to Traffic and Main Roads about getting it registered? They probably have some ridiculous requirements to get it on the road.

haha..!

"They shoulda never gave you Nword's money..!"

UNITY!!!

whats with the trikes mate?

that was cold blooded.....

"Cooold blooooded"

LOL

as for rego.

my mate Scotty recently went through this drama(he was the guy who showed me the Dax/Chaly scene, introduced me to a few owners, etc)

he said that you can get a RWC, go into Dept Transport, and register them, BUT, depending on who you get, they may say

"Oh, it can't be registered, it has no plate" or something similar

this happened to him, so he wrote to Honda Australia, got them to send a letter with explaining the situation, on their fancy letterhead, etc

when he got the letter, he went to the other Dept Transport in town, and they simply ticked the forms, and registered it.

they didnt even want the letter

i assume it depends on who serves you, and wtf they know

he also said, if they have been previously registered, even back when new, there will be a paper trail(well on line trail, lol) and that makes it easier too

heading to Brissie right now, to meet a guy who rebuilds these things, as he msged me, has 2 for sale, rego/RWC

one of which is the gold one above
