Imagery Posted April 18, 2014 Report Posted April 18, 2014 Hi All, Thanks for allowing me to join your forum pages.. I have recently bought a 2 door coupe Ke30. I love the look of the Ke20 front end and i was wondering if the front end (fenders, grill, lights) could be put onto the ke30 easily ? Also i live in the uk.. does anyone know of someone in the UK to get parts ? if not ill be shipping parts from Oz Quote
Clapped out Posted April 18, 2014 Report Posted April 18, 2014 (edited) Hi and welcome, Putting a ke20 front end onto a ke30 simply isn't a straight bolt on fit, ke20 is slightly narrower, shorter in length and the body lines are different, personally I wouldn't bother, it would be a nightmare to get it to fit, and if you did, it certainly wouldn't match in with the rest of the car, Best of luck, cheers! Imagery Posted April 18, 2014 Author Report Posted April 18, 2014 ah ok, i am new to the classic toyota scene and assumed they were bolt on.. thanks for re-educating me :) there are not many KE30's in the uk so modding it will be a pain i think. Quote
Mechanical Sympathy Posted April 18, 2014 Report Posted April 18, 2014 As Clappers points out, 'E2x and 'E3x are quite different cars. However there are a variety of different grilles across 'E3x and 'E5x that will bolt on that look better than the base model KE30 grille. And having said that, a bit of black and/or silver paint gets most styles (probably including yours) looking like a flash one eh. Show us some pics of a UK KE30. Quote
Imagery Posted April 18, 2014 Author Report Posted April 18, 2014 As soon as i can i'll post some pics, i have big plans for the little beauty.. already planning a engine conversion and respray, full interior and suspension upgrade and wheels.. You guys will be helping me out massively, and ill have to try and befriend someone in Oz who can post parts for me for a little bit of cash :) Quote
CREEDY Posted April 21, 2014 Report Posted April 21, 2014 don't bother trying to fit ke20 parts, just put some flares on it and blend them in they look great Quote
