Shane-ae82-20v Posted October 20, 2014 Report Posted October 20, 2014 Recently bought an 82 hatch, and the seats are ʞ©$ɟed. Apart from the obvious aftermarket racing seats, has anyone found a good supportive seat from another car that fits the 82 with little to no modification? Found mazda mx6 seats are pretty good but there was a bit of mucking around to it them. Any help would be much appreciated Quote
Mechanical Sympathy Posted October 22, 2014 Report Posted October 22, 2014 Have you tried your local family-owned auto-upholsterer? I've had a set of KE35 front and rear seats re-trimmed in the past - for around $400 from memory. They looked grouse, and were a lot less pfaffing about than modifying some other twenty year old seat to suit through means of questionable legality, that ends up looking out of place and doesn't match the rest of the interior anyway. Hiro Protagonist Posted October 23, 2014 Report Posted October 23, 2014 (edited) If your AE82 isn't a Twincam, get Twincam seats, they're heaps better than the standard ones (and bolt right in obviously) Edited October 23, 2014 by Hiro Protagonist Quote
