Help needed,

Hi,

Can anyone identify the motor in the attached pics.

We need to replace the thermostat but we need to know the exact model number.

Anything would help - where the engine number is located on the block, year of manufacture, Corolla it was originally used in.

4age 20v silver top. Import only engine in Australia. I dont believe most auto shops will list it.

It wilk be the same as some other engine. Someone more knowledgable than me will chime in hopefully (littleredspirit where are you????)

Came in JDM GT-spec AE101 Corollas (FXGT hatch, GT sedan, GT and GT-Apex Levin, plus the Ceres and Sprinter Marino).  From memory the silvertop uses the same thermostat as the 16V 4AGE that was sold here in the AE82 Twincam and AE92 SX though, local parts books should list those.
