Oil filter w anti siphon, no such thing

Hello. I am from Bulgaria. Kia Cee'd 1.4 petrol 101 hp, 2012-2018. Warranty is (almost) over, so I changed the oil myself for the 1-st time, but the oil filter that I ordered from the online store, although I indicated exactly my car model, turned out to be larger in outer diameter and it was not possible to screw it in, since the location is such that it does not allow this. Since I drained the oil, I found an open shop on Saturday and managed to buy a filter (champion), which is the same size as the original one, but apparently has a third valve inside. Even the seller opened some thick notebooks and said that this filter has a third valve, while the others have only two valves. By two valves I'm assuming that means a bypass valve and a valve that keeps the oil from draining. The filter I got is CHAMPION COF100116S. In the web page it says: "w/ Anti-Drain valve, w/ Anti-Syphon valve, with By-Pass valve".

I have this concern:
Could using a filter with an Anti-Syphon valve have a negative impact, i.e. make it difficult for the oil to move at high revs or something like that? Because, on the web page of this filter they say it supports KIA SPORTAGE and KIA RETONA, but nothing about Cee'd.

I am about to make 2 quite long road trips in a week with lots of highway driving at high speeds, so I am worried.

P.S.: If I buy an original filter, will it be OK to try draining the oil into a clean container, change the filter and refill with the same oil, or is that a bad idea?

NOTE: My filter sits quite low and also is upright, but still, if I leave the car for 5 - 7 days, I experience rough start.

I don't think so, they are designed for full oil flow when running, then to hold oil in the filter when the motor is off. When we bought The Girls KE70 it had the wrong filter on, it fitted fine but had no anti-drainback valve and the bearings always rattled briefly when started in the morning. We changed it straight away and I changed bearings later on, just fitting the same size bearings again. The KE70 filter is upside-down, with the inlet at the bottom, so drains away easily without that valve

This valve prevents the oil from running out of the filter when the engine is switched off. It has a function similar to that of the anti-drainback valve - with the difference that the valve is placed on the "clean side" of the filter. As a result, the filter is constantly filled with oil, regardless of whether the engine is running or not. After starting the engine, the anti-syphon valve significantly reduces dry friction between the parts working together, as it contributes to the rapid flow of oil to the engine.  "

Thanks for the reply. I read somewhere (maybe on this website, actually, in a different thread) that Anti-syphon valves can be specced with various spring tensions resulting in various oil pressure drops, which could be fine or not so fine for any given vehicle, but I guess there is no way of knowing for my specific one, so I'll just have to gamble.

Since I don't like to leave topics hanging in the air, here's a quick summary:

The MAHLE filters I had bought did not fit. But you already know that because that was in my original posting. For example, the air box could not be closed; the filter was perhaps a fraction of a millimeter higher. With the original filter it closes easily. The MAHLE filter for the air conditioner, the cover was bending the filter when closing, which is not good - again, it stuck out a millimeter more. For the oil filter - you already know.

In any case, I bought original filters: oil, air and polen, and the other store refunded my money for MAHLE. Even the originals came out cheaper!

About CHAMPION: I changed it too. Probably only 100 grams of oil leaked out. I let the car cool for two hours and put it on jacks with raised front to keep the oil back from the filter and prevent it from leaking. The original one is a bit shorter but, hey, what can I do - it's original

On occasions I've been pleasantly surprised to find Toyota cheaper than non-OEM brands for parts, its always nice to find out you haven't paid too much for something.
