Seeing I happened to have a set of all these springs in my shed I figured Id post up a

pic to show the difference btween them.

 

 

The ke10 ones are on the right, ke20's in the middle and ke70's on the left.

They all have a overall diameter of 125mm

 

The ke70 and ke20 coil thickness is 11mm, the ke10's are 8mm.

 

The ke70 and ke20 are very simular, the ke70 just having more rotations

and that flat spot on the bottom.

 

Their simularities could lead one to think that you could use ke20 coils to

lower a ke70? get lowered ke20 ones and you'd be set! no cutting required.

i like your thinking...but no.

the more rotations the stiffer the spring, so lowered ke70 springs into a ke20 would you give you awesome stiff suspension, but stock ke20 springs into ke70 is gonna make for a sloppy ride

the fewer the active coils, the higher the spring rate-all other things being equal.
