chrisandliz[RL] Posted May 23, 2006 Report Posted May 23, 2006 i was reading up on k series motors and is seams that (in theory) that you could stroke a 4k with a 7k crank, any one hear anything like this, can it be done? Quote
Tiger Posted May 23, 2006 Report Posted May 23, 2006 If anything, Sloth Snr and myselfone time joked about a 7K being in actual fact a stroked 4K. :lmao: Quote
chrisandliz[RL] Posted May 23, 2006 Author Report Posted May 23, 2006 If anything, Sloth Snr and myselfone time joked about a 7K being in actual fact a stroked 4K.:D from the specs it looks a stroked 5k , but the 5k and 4k have the same stroke. and the 4k is a stroked 3k. :lmao: Quote
Felix Posted May 23, 2006 Report Posted May 23, 2006 (edited) i wouldn't worry to much about it. by the time you f@$k around with bits and pieces to get something that works, you have spent more than what a 4age conversion would cost. my advice with a k series is to try to make the most of what you have got, or what is easily available. if it is a k series, keep it simple. otherwise do a conversion. a 3k is a stroked k. a 4k is a stroked 3k. a 5k is a bored out 4k. a 7k is a stroked 5k. Rolla__Boy Posted May 24, 2006 Report Posted May 24, 2006 No no silly tiger....Don't touch the engine...just bolt something to the side of it like I did :lmao: Quote
chrisandliz[RL] Posted May 25, 2006 Author Report Posted May 25, 2006 No no silly tiger....Don't touch the engine...just bolt something to the side of it like I did :lmao: well i guess that some of us are just "old school", and like to keep things n/a Quote
Rolla__Boy Posted May 25, 2006 Report Posted May 25, 2006 Yeah that's cool. I still have a soft spot for the old pushrod V8's...nothing beats the sound of a tough 351 Clevo on full noise.... But...You cannot deny the appeal of something so so cheap and simple that produces such excellent results now can you :lmao: Quote
chrisandliz[RL] Posted May 27, 2006 Author Report Posted May 27, 2006 so if you did change the crank, would it have must of a result? can't you get more out of a longer stroke? :( Quote
