Whilst I wait 8 - 10 months for my new Golf GTI (would have been a Sportivo if Toyota were still making them) to arrive, I have been wondering what to do with my KE70 wagon.

Is it really worth selling? I could prolly take the motor (which is a brand new reco motor) and the 5spd gearbox and sell them but would it really be worth more as a whole car?

Its not really roadworthy atm (broken reaf left seat belt) and I'm not really sure what the laws are in this regard. Hopefully the GTI will arrive before March and I can just let the rego lapse.

Are there really people looking to still buy old corollas which need panel work? I don't want to make any plans around the fact that I need to sell the car. If Its better for me to strip it then ++.

toyota still makes the sportsivo :( - we are still doing PD's on them at work :D !

just drive it till your new car comes, then sell it as hole, on ebay and through here -> striping cars makes you become an instant 1800-wrecker. Diff will go, motor may go, gbox will go, bits of interiour may go, that thats it if you strip it.

I agree with teddy, sell it as a whole, cars are like that... you'll never get your money back unless it didn't cost you anything to begin with!

And damn!!! you're going from an old rolla to a new GTI!!! nice!

I was pondering on selling my astra and getting a polo gti ... but yeh astra works fine... and cars are money pits... unlike houses which actually can make money.. and are a good thing to aim for when you don't own one!

Hrmm really? I called Sci-Fleet to ask about them and they told me Toyota have stopped making them due to a lack of demand
