Hrmm really? I called Sci-Fleet to ask about them and they told me Toyota have stopped making them due to a lack of demand :thumbsup:

Whilst I wait 8 - 10 months for my new Golf GTI (would have been a Sportivo if Toyota were still making them) to arrive, I have been wondering what to do with my KE70 wagon. Is it really worth selling? I could prolly take the motor (which is a brand new reco motor) and the 5spd gearbox and sell them but would it really be worth more as a whole car? Its not really roadworthy atm (broken reaf left seat belt) and I'm not really sure what the laws are in this regard. Hopefully the GTI will arrive before March and I can just let the rego lapse. Are there really people looking to still buy old corollas which need panel work? I don't want to make any plans around the fact that I need to sell the car. If Its better for me to strip it then ++.

I just got a new reco 4K-C into my wagon and whilst Dad and I were putting the manifold on, we noticed there are 4 holes at a 45 degree angle on the side of the head on the side where the inlet/exhaust manifold goes. We had a look on the old engine and these holes were not there. We blocked them up but neither Dad or myself knew what exactly they are for.

I just got back from Melbourne where I took my beast to get a brand new reco motor put in it. Whilst attaching the metal plate (that covers the water jacket) on the back of the head, I twisted the head off the bolt (can you say overtighten?). Dad came to the rescue with a really small screwdriver and a hammer and tapped the shaft of the bolt out of the head with no drilling involved. Seemed fairly simple to do. Not sure how easy it is to do on larger bolts.

That looks pretty good. What are your plans for the steering wheel?

Hrmm my reluctance to install such a system would be if say I somehow lost my brake fluid by driving, then as opposed to having only slightly mild braking ability from the rear wheels, id have nothing at all.

For the hydraulic handbrake, I'm assuming its a completely seperate brake system with its own master cylinder independant of the primary brakes?

Hehe that just gave me an idea for the cruise in the Cruises section.. Take a photo with everyone next to their toyota's and jumping like on the commercial. Back on topic.. thats f@$king awesome.. another thing to rub up the next rotary head's nose I see.
