the_van_can Posted January 18, 2011 Report Posted January 18, 2011 the_van_can - all you have to do is grind off the 4link mounts and cut your leaf spring mounts off your s series and weld them on. i have a t series ra60 diff in my van. ok great thanks, so theoretically with modification you can pretty much put any diff in that you like even if had coil springs, providing it's the right length. Also in your case and mine, we need to change the rear section of the tailshaft (from an ae86 import or t18) and the t-series goes straight in. Next trick is handbrake cables. PM me if you want some info. I'm clogging up this dudes thread :P sorry BOAT ANCHER! :) Quote
speedy71 Posted June 16, 2011 Report Posted June 16, 2011 hi mate cut out and plate as much as you can or fiberglass works well i was lucky i had very little rust in mine and ive only spent 5 grand since getting it for free off a mate. Quote
Ella Posted June 18, 2011 Report Posted June 18, 2011 The AE71 van doesnt have a 4 link rear like the sedan or the ae86, so you can't run the T series diff from a Jap ae86. Best to look for an f series leaf rear from an old lux and an lsd for it from an ma61. Much less fiddling and a bigger stronger commercial type diff for the van. old hiluxes and pretty much any hilux uses G series. Ma61 LSDs don't go into them. Quote
