KE55 1981 Sedan front shock absorbers

Hey guys Just wondering if anyone knows where to get new Stock front shocks for a ke55 Sedan, I tried lots of shops around Sydney they all offer the Monroe-matic Plus part number 805014MM but they did not fit in the inserts unfortunately they were too long and thinner and original shocks, any help would be appreciated, the original shocks had a part number MG991 but Monroe told me they were discontinued.

Hi Tony. A bit of searching around suggests Monroe MG991 inserts appear to suit a 60series Cressida. 
 

Always need to be a bit wary of where the google rabbit hole takes you, but may explain your fitment issue. Are you sure someone hasn’t put some different struts in the car?  
 

if yes, it doesn’t solve your supply issue, but at least you have a better idea of what you are looking for.
