Almost guaranteed that's not correct Andrew. I have heard of people on RollaClub getting free cars that run. Sorry. :P Probably the cheapest in the NT.

 

Back on topic, are any of you going to bother entering the NT RollaClub Championship at all? I'm trying to get the KE55 ready, and with any luck it should be right for the first proper NAMSC race meet on 2 March.

It's a pity the AE71 doesn't count as running - otherwise I'd beat you all by a LONG margin. :P

 

BTW, if anyone wants a VN/VP Commodore, a mate of mine has a VP for sale that is ready for rego, along with a VN parts car (still whole except for auto transmission) and many other parts. He's chasing $2,000 for the lot, which is pretty damn good. PM me if you're interested (or know someone who definitely wants them).

gregor came around (cheers gregor) and we where gonna whip the head off and take a look at whats going on

we got as far as trying to get cylinder 1 to top dead center and we stuck a screw driver in the spark plug hole and found hrmmmm not good so we winded and winded and winded and then bigger screwdriver and push down........... the piston fell out of the bore and yeah basicly meens broken conrod i really carnt beleave that it didnt come out the side of the block when it snapped

so the engine is a write off

so now it will be sold off for parts if you's know any one that has one that wants good inside shit then palm them on to me

I'm starting to feel like "the other peoples Toyota engine angel of death" (had one of mine turn out not so good earlier this year soooooo..... Not often you can stick your finger over a spark plug hole while it's winding over and feel nothing. Either it broke the conrod near the crank, or the bolts fell out. The clatter was not the usual banging of a conrod minus piston hitting the cylinder wall and the piston crown was at Top Dead Centre. Before we pulled the dizzy and cam I was going to set it on TDC, but when I put the screw driver into the spark plug hole... The piston was already there and the exhaust valve was going down, hmmm. Then the piston audibly moved down the cylinder under screwdriver pressure.

Hey, he got some nice overrated sports seats and a W55 gearbox plus other stuff for $100. It's still win win.
