ancullen Posted January 7, 2008 Report Posted January 7, 2008 Keep the whole diff/rear axle assembly - it's a T-series after all, so LSD centres are easy (but not cheap) to get. :P Although apparently the SA63 has IRS, not a live rear axle. Does it have disc brakes as well or just drums on the rear? I did have aspirations of fitting IRS to that AE71 I sold you, but it would probably be too hard to do. Still an interesting prospect.
Pure-SX Posted January 7, 2008 Author Report Posted January 7, 2008 Ahh I thought you're holidays were over ages ago mate. Meh at least you got something nice out of it Andrew lol
ae174agze Posted January 8, 2008 Report Posted January 8, 2008 (edited) i think i might buy gregors t18 diff and put the drum breaks off the celica on there use the front struts cos there hugh and have ventlated disks buy one of them A to W bellhouseings when i get this 4agte in a month or so throw it all in and have a strong drive line (andrew = poor) sorry stewie i need them as mine don't fit with the huge break disks and the group buy --- adam (ancullen) wants some goodies too so get everything throw in and i said we'll most likely pay on monday the 14 Edited January 8, 2008 by ae174agze
ancullen Posted January 8, 2008 Report Posted January 8, 2008 Did you want to do the group buy on my credit card? That way there's some security with the transaction plus I get some Frequent Flyer points (I need to buy a trip to New York within the next three years).
ae174agze Posted January 8, 2008 Report Posted January 8, 2008 yeah i'm cool with that we'll have to organise a meeting me and stewie will come around one day and sort out the cash
ancullen Posted January 8, 2008 Report Posted January 8, 2008 What, actually do a RollaClub thing OFF the internet??? :P EDIT: Excuse my smart-arsed-ness. I'm hungry, tired, and feeling very dizzy for some reason. Possibly the coffee messing with my brain, or probably just being so tired.

ancullen Posted January 8, 2008 Report Posted January 8, 2008 *cough*Shane-didnt-pay-the-$40-international-transaction-fee-on-last-purchase*cough* BTW, food helps ease the brain weirdness. Might go and make another ham & cheese toastie though. Yum. BTW again, Stephen, does your 20V have a distributor or coil ignition?
Pure-SX Posted January 8, 2008 Author Report Posted January 8, 2008 lol. Aircon has been out for almost two days now. I am working up the back with no fan and any air circulation ftl... Inside temperature was 31 degrees at like 12
wasfishing Posted January 8, 2008 Report Posted January 8, 2008 thats gotta suk i thought 20v all had coil packs
ancullen Posted January 8, 2008 Report Posted January 8, 2008 I was certain the Silvertop had a distributor - isn't that why they're hard/impossible to drop into an AE86 without bashing the firewall? EDIT: Just checked, and according to Phil Bradshaw's site, all 20v's had distributor ignition systems standard.
Pure-SX Posted January 8, 2008 Author Report Posted January 8, 2008 (edited) Dizzie mate. AE86 + Hammer = AE86 with 20V :P Why do you ask? Edit: Just realised you need them for the gze :P Edited January 8, 2008 by Pure-SX
ancullen Posted January 8, 2008 Report Posted January 8, 2008 Because I am still searching for an ignition coil for my 4A-GZE. I've contacted Microtech to see if the Bosch ones they sell do the job without the need for a retune. I can't go very far with repairing
