Is it possible to change my gear ratio from 4:1 to 3.7:1 without changing my differential? If so, how? Thanks a lot.

You have to change the ring gear and pinion on the diff centre.

 

Depends what diff it is and if the ratios are available really..

Youre talking about the final drive ratio...which IS the differential. Unless you want to shell out upwards of $4000 to have your gearbox re-ratioed (which would be really stupid) you're gonna have to play with the diff.

Wow, why would the heck would you wanna chance the w50 to t50? It is better tranny due to durability for high HP.

 

How much would you want for the W bell housing by the way if you happen to change the tranny?
