camerondownunder88 Posted October 2, 2006 Report Posted October 2, 2006 Hi, Just been cleaning up my 4K slowly still getting ready to put it into my KE30 and I noticed the top radiator hose mount on the motor is different. On my KE30 3K motor it has a switch on the housing with two lines running to it that are vacuum lines. And one goes to the carby and other to the dissy. Then next to it is a taped hole that is blocked off right now with a plug. See photo below. On the 4K I have from a KE70 on it's housing it has just one hole and in it is like a temp switch of some sort and nothing else. But on the other side it has the temp prob for the water temp same as the 3K in the KE30 so I know this switch on the top is not for temp but what? See photo below to compare it? So just wondering does anyone know what the switch in the 3K does with the vacuum lines and the switch in the 4K? Also when doing the engine change to save rewiring I'm using my old alternator and other parts so should it be advisable to use the thermostat housing from the 3K on the 4K? Cameron Quote
