4k-c Bore & Carbie Q's

Featured Replies

Hey all

Any idea what a 4K-C could safely bore out to? 1.4L?

And, If i descided later on down the track to upgrade my carbie,

where would i start? - WHat info do i need to know?

How do i know whats the best carbie for my car?

Etc

For example - Nick (Grim) has that webber on his rolla,

How did the previous owners know to put that on there - why that 1?

Get what I'm on about?

Cheers !!!

Sweet !

So with the carbie, what would be a benifit of changing it from stock?

More power? -

i never really thought about why u would change 1 !

Also the stock carby has very little "tunability", as in there isn't very much you can really adjust on them. But that said, if you have a stock motor chances are it'll offer enough to keep it running. I'm still running a stock carby. Stock everything in fact...

Stock is better than dodgy modified. My Stock red sprinter with 500 000 km shocks handles better than my blue sprinter with front coilovers with no RCA's, cut EA Falcon springs on the rear with TRD Short Strokes and no rear swaybar. What a combo!

Well, I'm putting extractos on my corolla (A fact now - :| - ive purchased them, ariving soon ! )

And I'm getting the 1"75 or 2" exhaust sys - would it make any difference if i got a better carbie?

Thanks!
