when engine is not running, throttle won´t open more than 1/3 approx. When engine is running, there is motor which opens thottle when engine wants, you can give order for full throttle, but engine desides how quick it opens it. My engine wouldn´t take rpm and it was little bit :D when I had too open intake, no filter and 3" pipe where afm was. When I choked intake before afm, it started to idle nice and it tooked rev nicely. Stock aircleaner box is not so free flowing, there is approx 3"~76mm pipe where afm is in stock aircleaner box. But I had to make 57mm destriction before afm, to get it work somehow properly. rpm meter won´t be affected by throttle. I think more of something later.

valves, titanium valves :D automatic altezza have slightly different figures, 10hp less power and max torque comes in 4800, when in manual it comes in 6400 iirc. Rumours says that automatic model have different cams and even slightly different head, can´t confirm this yet. Intake valvebuckets seems to have somekind of problems, I know 2 cases that cams have grind almost holes to top of the buckets. Buckets stays always in one position, won´t rotate as they should and cam hits always in same position :(

3S-GE beams comes in 2 form, Redtop and Blacktop. Red is from MR2 and Celica, it´s with VVT-i. Blacktop is from Altezza and it´s with Dual VVT-i, intake and exhaust variable valve timing intelligence. Beams comes from words Breakthrough Engine Advanced Mechanism System. Those are completely factory engines. Natural aspirated sceamers. Redtop 200hp and Blacktop 210hp. Japanese small horses thou :D I have 195 @ 7800 in my Blacktop.

good luck mate, its going to be fun, when its done. I put beams to my carina 2004-2005 and it was really hard to find wirings. Now it´s done and works fine. Give us some pics.

if you have altezza rear brakes, those are quite simple to attach to hiace/hilux rear. I´ve done it. But that axle weight is huge, so not good at all. I have changed/built front hubs to 5*114,3 so altezza brakes fitted front also.

I have that same sway bar problem in my car also. I have found a company which will make one just like I want to. otherwise like original shape, but "little" loop in the middle, which goes between sump and axle. You figure that gear thing when you see the box. No internal things, just outside parts and those are ment to be both ways, mayby some other model have it otherwise.

btw, you can easily move that gearstick approx 2" more front. Just swing that part vertically where gearstick lower ball stands. Which is held there with one 8mm bolt and on "stud", which you can hammer out. And that gearstick "housing" can be moved to the other holes that 2" more front. hope you understood my weak "english" explanation.

I think there are lots of different kind of good headgaskets for -GE and -GZE engines, I think those should fit to plain 4A-C engines as well. But I think also it´s better to use your money to 4A-G series engine.

Little by little, 228rwkW is a good start. And there are lots of potential, so lets wait you have fix those minor things and have few more km to it. It´s really nice looking, good job ;)
