  7. Alright so put down a time to meet somewhere and lets do it. I wont be able to check until tomorrow night, so whatever is agreed on here will be good.

  13. My brakes were starting to stinky stinky on the way down the other side keeping up with alfa 156. Ill organise it properly for mid-feb, but if anyone just wants to go for a drive up there one day, post it up and if I'm not working ill come
  14. I was thinking more like this week sometime lol. But if people arent availale i will organise it properly for mid feb. I went over yesterday, turned around at the bottom and did it again this time going through nebo. I think i might go back today...
  15. Just seeing if anyone would be interested in going for a bit of a drive over Mt Glorious, then stopping on the other side for a BBQ? Would be fun with a few corollas and i have my suspension in now so its that much funner  Just post if interested and we'll work out a day.
  16. So who is def. going? I might go as i should have suspension and hopefully rims.
  17. T-50's are getting a little rare (which is why we have 2 spares  ), and the popularity of ae86's at the moment people pay good money for them.
  18. I don't want a tacho as i already have one. I was gonna go oil pres, oil temp, water temp which i might do. I need a water temp gauge as mine doesnt work all that well. These are the ones i want  gauges I am look at putting three 52mm ones infront of the standard radio bit to the left of the speedo.
  19. What do you think are the most important aftermarket gauges? Oil pressure, Water temp and Volts?
  20. yep they are. coulda sold g'box and driveline for like $350.
  21. How much did that one cost you? My cousin bought one a little while ago for $140, i rang there again like 3 weeks later and they wanted $220 for the other one...bastards
  22. Thanks but i have decided to go with pedders shocks and springs untill i can afford something decent. And with dad getting $300 off retail for trade, I'm happy
  23. Thanks heaps for the info. Using the RA65 struts, was there anything else needed to be done other then the control arms? I will probably go ahead with these coilovers, so any recommendations for the rear?
  24. Your front coilovers were made from celica struts hey? How much did they set you back and where from? I think option 1 garage can make up coilovers but not sure. I'm thinking of just using sigma control arms aswell.
  25. This is mainly aimed at Paul, as he has alot of experience in this area with setup and so forth. But anyone and everyone please give your opinions. Basically i am looking for something low and stiff. Isnt everyone? hahaha. I have a pair of short stroke TRD front shocks here but nothing for the rear. I want to go on the cheap, but not dodgy cheap. One of my main questions is are coilovers really necessary in the front? I mean if you get custom springs made up, using 400ish lb springs, the suspension isnt going to be moving very much and wouldnt that keep the spring captive? So my first dilemma is coilovers or not in the front. Second is what to use in the rear. Garage Dori website has a good website explaining different shocks from other cars which can be used. For example: Hilux (front shock) Extended length: 420mm KYB Monotube (Gas) Rating (KG5437): 3100/1000 Peugeot 505 Extended length: 420mm Extended minus Body: 270mm KYB Twin Tube (Oil) Rating (344004): 1900/600 Compared to stock: AE86 Extended Length: 560mm Closed Length: 335mm Assuming they are the same as AE71 that is. By going this way i reckon you could get away with it cheaply. I have front shocks, get puegeot, for eg., in the rear and then custom springs, i don't see that going much over $550 - $600. Which leads me to my next question, where to get custom springs made up. I want 7-8kg fronts, with 6kg in the rear. Anyone know where i can go and say i want this blah blah, and they make it? Although the other alternative is a full pedders package which uses sports ryder in the rear, comfort in the front (don't make sports for the front) and 45mm lowered springs. But i don't think that is going to be that stiff, and also it will cost about $650 trade. I would love Techno Toy coilovers for the front but they raised there prices and thats gonna cost somewhere about $900 just for the fronts... Then there is tokico hts $767 delivered is what i got quoted, which isnt that bad, but I'm trying to do it on the cheaper. So, what should i do?
