  1. the carnival never did head gasgets, the sleeve the piston runs in comes loose and slams the hell out of the head :jamie: the stuff wrong with those cars realy started at the design level

     

    then the kia rio, upside down inlet manifold so if you wash it (or get good rain, remember rain?) it filled the cylinders and compression locked the motor

     

    worst ever, kia pregio diesel, skip one service, by new motor, bottom end shot

     

    N12 pulsar single point efi, yea, that was going to work! haha

     

    ea to current 6 cyl falcon, speedo reading 200,000 + how about i order you a new cyl head now save wasting money on the crack testing

     

    v6 commodore misses under load, changed your leads in the last 60,000 km? no, theres your problem

     

    mitso/L series datto, use oil, factory standard, live with it sunshine

     

    personal favorite, mazda mpv v6 rwd with the worlds smallest oil galleries, get slack on the oil changes, they block up, top end starves, cams shear, and to get the motor out you need to strip the car down to a bare shell almost!!

  2. checked here and there but couldnt find an outright answer so throwing the question out to anyone whos tried it before

     

    have picked up a good ke15 bp head factory twin carb bla bla... you all know whats on them

     

    still has original K motor and would like to leave that in it, matching numbers and all that (this thing WILL be doing targa tazzy)

     

    question is, given block heights are the same (?) can i fit the 3K crank etc to existing block to up the cc's, will it fit, or is it like the 4K 5K where its all in the bore

     

    if it would fit, will end result be the 10.7 comp ratio I'm chasing with the 3k rev and extra tork (compared to K at least)

     

    PS don't ask for pics, this things been stored out in the open for the last 20 + years and looks bloody horrible at the moment

  4. 35 is next in line for 4age and just picked up a quad cam v8 for the 55 coupe next to it,mmm evil plans for that one

     

    rust not a worry out there, if you can keep the cars out from under the trees, those leaves kill on impact

    got 2 of these, opened the drivers door on this one, and it fell off, f***ing pine needles

  5. better than painting this weekend, took the trail bike out, f@$ked up on a steep rocky hill, managed to not flip it head over onto myself but did manage to bring it down on my leg :jamie:

     

    big hole in my shin, lots of meat showing and think i caught the muscle, cos it f@$king hurts to move

     

    importantly, can still drive, foot still moves in the mash accelorator way, just no others

  6. you run 12 volt of battery, through relay, to starter motor, the power that used to activate solinoid instead activates relay, it makes sure starter gets good volts, relays arnt that fussy, they can trip as low as 8 volt

     

    but on a rolla that usualy means your starter is on the way out, relay probably wont fix anything, but for $3 why not have a go
