  2. Thanjks guys, so... whens the next camping trip? We need to organise a date that everyone can come :)
  3. Yeah will be a shame to move with it on Saturday. Think I'll be using lots of blankets to cover it up lOl
  4. Well finished the floor today :D Siliconed up all the gaps with charcoal coloured silicone. Now all thats left is to attach the gate latches. But for that I need to attatch them to timber. For that I'm using off cuts from the decking.
  5. Yep and conned another night in the garage out of dad. So tonight I'll put another coat of clear on just to finish it up.
  6. Well in the end I had to go the LED tail lights. I had to replace the cable as I noticed it was rubbing against metal and slicing through when I was pulling it apart. So I bought the cable and just assumed I could use the same tail lights. Turns out the cable I bought is plug and play, all great but I needed the matching LED lamps. Anyway after alot of mucking around I finally installed the timber. I had to take back the stainless steel screws I bought as they are too soft and the first one snapped off as I was screwing it in.
  7. **WARNING** Tissues may be needed!! Visited a mate today. He is a big Mercedes-Benz fan. Anyway he is house sitting for a mate of his who is from the Mercedes car club. I was lucky enough to visit the mansion and take some pics of his mates cars in the flesh. Here are some pics that I took... Now this 1969 280SL apparently had about $150,000 spent on the restoration... The later coupe... The other cars... And another 3 under the outside carport...
  8. haha no, its just a random driveway
  9. At this point no. Just normal ones. The ones that came with it.
  10. This was a few weeks back. I chucked a mental as it scratched my trailer. Anyway here are my pics.... My front yard... The Patio... My Back yard... The Side of the house. Notice how deep the hot water system was and the waterfall behind it... My Drive To Work That Arvo... Driveway... Depth Marker...
  11. Thanks mate, I'll keep that in mind. Not sure that I have too much that needs moving. Just bed, mattress, TV Unit, Computer Table and Gym. The fridge, washing machine etc I will be getting brand new, so thats another trip. Here is the final colour with the first coat of clears. Will put another coat on tomorrow... Hopefully tomorrow I'll pull my finger out and take care of all the wiring and lights. Then Sunday I should start screwing the floor in :) Oh and at some point I need to do the engraving. :)
  12. OH GOD!! NOT MACCAS :P
  13. Staining the timer. Finally good weather!! A few more coats into the night then tomorrow it'll get the clears. Here is the colour so far with my niece sniffing the fumes :)
  14. Found a Corolla buried in my sisters back yard... And was caught in bed with my nieces' horse 'Fudge' :|
  15. That left hand drive?
  16. I just have a simple request... Will the rain PLEASE f@$k off? You are making my job of working on my trailer that much harder on my only days off. Thank you. J.I.P.
  17. Or if the Friday doesn't work can always make it a Monday.
  18. Just thinking what if I made it in February? And try to get one day off, say on a Friday. That way we could have Friday, Saturday and Sunday? Not sure on everyone else tho and I don't want to be doing it alone lOl
  19. If you know these people tell them they aren't getting their Christmas cards!!
  20. Funny that, I have a couple good friends who's boyfriends get jealous of me. Deep down it comes to how much they trust each other. Tho understand if they have been burnt in the past but still.
  21. Be happy you had 18 years of presents. I never got anything from 'Santa' or my parents. Joys of coming from a large family. The last one left is left supporting the parents :S
  22. YEah closes fine down with all the sanding that I've done.
  23. Well in order to rush completion (meaning "Get the f@$k out of the garage, the rain is ruining my brakes in my car," says Dad :|) I've had to decide, do I screw in the timber then stain/varnish, then paint the under carriage? Or Number the timbers, stain both sides, varnish both sides, then attach with stainless steel screws. I've decided on option 2. Plus I would like to see the look of the stained timber underneath. Anyway here is all the pieces cut and numbered. I've sanded the tips so that the tail gate can close. I've had to think hard on how I want it to look. I could have put in 14 pieces and then had one panel of 60mm at the end. I didn't like that idea so thought I'd start in the middle and work my way out on both sides. That gave me 30mm on each side. I then couldn't see myself being able to cut such fine lengths. So I've ended up putting that 60mm right in the middle. Think it works better... Also put on my jockey wheel. Blew up dads drill in the process too lOl. One issue is that I didn't want it to stick out too far and maybe hit the car if I was doing a sharp turn. So where it sits now is good but doubtful that I'll ever have a storage box on the drawbar. :( This isn't the final shot. I've reattached the jokey wheel on the lower holes so it doesn't sit too high at its lowest setting. It needs to be able to wind down to the height of my towbar.
  24. Well I would like to test out the trailer so I'd be more for the camp myself. Would need to be near water.
  25. Cancelled thanks to work. They don't want to give me the time off after they had approved it in the first place. :(
