  1. Okay, well the weekend has come around so I've begin work on painting the box. So yesterday I pushed it back into the garage after a weeks worth of rain. I had a tarp over it but it kept filling up. Dad put bricks on it, the tarp filled up with water, and when the bricks fell off they scratched the primer :bash: So I touched it up yesterday. I bought the paint. Subaru Silver!! Who would have thought 2 litres would cost so much! Now if the paint looks shit in the large sections like the gate, back and sides, it probably is. I'm still learning my technique with the spraygun. I hope to recoat in the morning and hope the next coats come up a bit better :) And a shot of the hitch :)

    New Years Camp

Okay, 2 nights? Just confirm and I'll start booking. There are limited van sites left so I wanna grab one for myself and the trailer.
  3. They can't bother? or have more important things like work. Without money there is no car.
  4. Okay, messing about and here is what I've come up with...
  5. Bery nice looking Galant mate. Makes me want to get my Galant going.
  6. Okay guys, we have spoken about camping in the new year in the past, I have been working hard to get my trailer going by then but am very curious if its still happening?
  7. So you suggest I go normal hardwood? Was thinking maybe silver to match the car. Plus the varnished timber would look great against it.
  8. Well todays update!! Bog pre sanding... Bog sanded... Trailer ready for priming... Trailer painted... Bogged section...
  9. Yes, Gobblef@$kinggobble
  10. Well in my absences I have bought myself a trailer. Bought off a man who buys trailers, does his thing and sells them. This guy is a knob! He cut out the rusted floor, the rusted sub frame, welded in a new sub frame (SHITE) and replaced the floor with plywood (:S) (filled in holes with bog, cement etc :S) Here is the trailer as I bought it... How it was this morning... Removed plywood floor... Plywood floor. Evidence that the water was soaking into the timber. Glad I ripped it out. Frame treated with Killrustâ„¢ Now needing my godfather to come over tomorrow to weld in a couple of supports in the front half. I don't thing any floor would be able to do this span!! Can't see why that span to the left isn't put in the centre at 900mm instead of 1200!! The plan is to put in a timber deck floor (Like the Kingswood Utes), but leaving a couple mmm in gaps to ensure water drains and doesn't pool causing water to sit thus causing rust like before. Might go that semi timber/semi plastic decking that will be good in all weather. Also maybe tempted to get him to weld a 'H' frame on the rear and maybe a sub-box beneath the floor in the rear with the timber decking as the lid. Also in the event I plan on covering the trailer into a camper (Very possible), I'll use black silicone between the gaps and make it look like ship decking.

  16. Hey guys, as some of you may already know I'm hoping to go camping for my birthday. I'm hoping to leave Wed 26th January (Australia Day) and return Sunday 30th January. If you can't come down for the whole duration its okay, you can just do the Friday night and Saturday night, or just the Saturday night. I would be great to have you all there but understand if you can't. Here are the rates... (Prices are for 2 Adults, extra adults are $20/night, Children $10/night) First Sun Holiday Park. ...........................Wed...Thurs....Fri...Sat ....Powered Site...$56....$40......$40...$40 = $176 Unpowered Site...$50....$38......$38...$38 = $164 I'd really like to get a block of 4 [+] sites next to each other (Powered) that way we can fit as many people as we can. This way we don't have to worry if we go over any boundary lines. I'll try to see how many people we can get on per site. Cause the more we fit (Comfortably) the lesser it'll cost. Tho if you want to be further away you can, as there will be many late nights :) The park is also at the town centre. So it'll be walking distance for food (as I'm not pre buying anything), clubs too if anyone is keen and is on the beach too. I am planning on bringing a bar fridge down in the trailer so we can keep the essentials cold, like butter, milk, bacon etc. Any Questions let me know, I hope I've included everything. I'm hoping to call them this week and start booking and paying deposits. thanks, J. Oh also forgot to say that I'll try to see how many people we can get on per site. Cause the more we fit (Comfortably) the lesser it'll cost. EDIT!! NEW Venue Okay guys with lots of calling around I have found this to be the best place. There is no minimum stay like all the other parks. Its not on the beach or in the centre of town but is only 2km away. It is a site that specialises in tent camping and campervans etc. They have lots of space and claim that they don't book out. So hoping that they do have lots of space we should be able to pitch tents away from everyone else. Belongil Fields http://www.belongilfields.com.au/Camping.htm ...........................Wed...Thurs....Fri...Sat ....Powered Site...$17....$17......$17...$17 = $68 Unpowered Site...$15....$15......$15...$15 = $60
  17. Na, that sold by the time I got home. This one needs a bit of work but should come up great :)
  18. I bought a trailer today :D
  19. There looks to be another camping trip on the cards for New Years long weekend. It may be a 2 day event tho if you only want to stay for one you can.

  21. The Camp Site The cars and the camp site... My rolling Tent... My camping chair... Dougie trying to put up his tarp with the help of Trev... I thought this shot of the glow stick ball looked cool... Now my morning Wake Up Shake Up resulted in my car rolling backwards into the bollard!! Turtle... Brown Boots... The Morning After, everything is flat... Trevs Tire... My Flat Battery... And last but not least, the wildlife... All up was a great weekend. thanks heaps for all that came :)

  24. GRR can't get to sleep, my brain is thinking of all the things I have to pack in the morning. I assume since we'll be leaving at 11am from blacksoil that we'd be having lunch there? If so I'll make sure I'll buy food for lunch too :)
  25. Okay Goodna Maccas at 11am. We meeting at Blacksoil still? Who will be meeting there and who'll be at Goodna?
