  1. I can sell u my 1973 KE 20 2dr , I'm in western australia , $6000 . only needs cosmetic work. requires paint job and dents done. and some interior stuff . I have replaced and or rebuilt the electrical sytem + all bulbs , blinker unit front brakes front suspension King lowered and and HD struts inner outer tie rods front wheel berings rear brakes rear shocks 4K Engine includes New fuel pump + fuel lines recod head new Webber 32/36 carby new points / dizzy rebuilt bosch ignition coil / 8mm leads new rear main oil seal new starter motor flywheel machined new exedy spots tuff clutch gearbox input shaft seal new diff seal Fuel tank and sender cleaned front Windscreen and seal new rear windscreen seal new door rubbers rear internal panels reupholsterd new carpet and under lay . sports sterring wheel and leather gearknob I'm pretty sure that covers most of it , ive probably missed something . I have been using it as my daily driver it passed a RWC in QLD no worries. i am currently in Port hedland western australia. Matt

  3. Did the socket trick. Got the wheel i needed off. Was easier than i thought no damage just gotta do it 3 more times. I still can't believe noone in this town has one of those Irwin sockets. Thks all.
  4. There the kind that fits over the nut. I have just rang 5 of the bigger tyre shops and they got nothin. Will have to resort to the bashin idea just not real keen. Thks all.
  5. Hi all, In need of some help again, Long story short i've managed to lose my lock nut socket and now can't get my wheels off. I have a grinding noise in the new hub and disc i installed and kinda need to get them off to see what i did wrong. I asked two different tyre shops in town and all they said i could do was bash on a socket. (The nuts are recesed in my wheels, and it took me 2 months to track down the hub so i don't want to damage anything.) surely someone has had the same isssue.

  7. All good the rolla rolls again. welding done , tailshaft in took for strap without guards or bumpers on and nomore vibrations/groans. Thanks for the help and encouragement. Now i just need a 5k for the motor build .
  8. Hey Guys. Found my Problem. My welder came round went over the front end said no dramas but argued that it wasn't the cause of my vibrations. Went over the car again from front to back and found that my tailshaft had sheared one bolt and one was just about to let go. I could move the tailshaft and had a bit of play. . Basically being held by two bolts. Will get front fixed while i have it all apart.
  9. Righto pulled the front end panel work down. Here are some photo's but lighting was not the best will put moore up tomorrow in daylight. After a unhindered look i feel more positve. the lower radiator support is starting to rust each end . I see one on ebay i assume i should be doing this as well. Thka for the help so far .   10. Cool didn't think i could do it with just a floor jack. My mate thats been helping me is a welder that part is cool. Will take better photo's and show ya's . May have been over reacting , this car has thrown everything at me didn't think i could beat chassis problems in such a old car.
  11. I have talked to a local panelbeater but they wern't very encouraging. he also said the earliest they could look would be late Feb 2012. I live in Cental Queensland and unless your getting a Insurance job done they either won't look at it or will charge more than it would cost me to buy a new Kidney. I drive cars fairly hard and was woried if i (just get it fixxed) would it ever drive properly again . I had given it a bit around a corner when the vibrations started. I have already spent +$5000 on car already and still don't have paint job. I don't think I can handle another 6mths of waiting and $$$ to find out i'm @#$@.
  12. Hi guys, I have just spent the last 3 months building my 20 and countless hours to finally get it on the road and running, when i developed a violent shudder thru the car above 20kph . I pulled the front end down for the 15th billion time to recheck everything to find my inner guard had seperated from the chassis mount ( where the stabiliser bar mounts ) . Here is what has been done to the front end. - all front rubbers done. - new strut cartriges. - new king spring lowered - new inner outer tierod ends. Here is my Pics. My Question is. Does anyone know or have experenced something similar. Can it be fixxed with out major engineering or is it time to put her down.
  13. Hi All i have recently started a ke20 build(a car i built for my gf 10 years ago) that i just recently aquired again. I am doing the usuall starting with things that need fixing first . I have tried reading previous discussions but haven't found the info. Has Anyone bought the sloted and dimpled rotors off ebay for the ke 20 mine are fubar , how do they perform. or Should i try getting a ke 70 front setup. trying not to reengineer car . The car will have a warm 4k init to start with and latter a 4agze conversion (at this stage) Any advice positive or neg appreciated.
