  1. It hasn't been defected or anything, looks clean, should I repair all rust damage before, for safetys sake? Will they give it a big look around or just check the engine and chassis numbers? Do you reckon I'd be better off doing the long haul to murray bridge or lonsdale, the woman at service sa did mention lonsdale, they wont be as strict as regency will they?
  2. Okay so to cut a long story short because of some f@$king around that happened with plates, my ke70 has to go to Regency for a vehicle identification check before I can get rego. Does anyone know what these vehicle I.D. checks involve? cheers, jake
  3. I WILL KILL THEM FIRST :) hmmm, who can pull some strings with the UN?
  4. would anyone mind if i just kinda, took the rollas from that dealership ;)
  5. i know how to do next to none of that :( i think I'm going to be seeking help for this
  6. ive re-thought this, the car is a keeper, so I'm using metal :)
  7. Yeah, I'm thinking it probably will end up being the head, but i figured may as well check the other stuff first aye
  8. Couldnt leave profit out :) The thermostat goes, to the top, and the engine gets real f@$koff hot and struggles, so i'd say it isnt just the gauge cheers anyway though I plan on pulling out the thermo next week after my exams and see whats going on, then probably chuck a new one in. Would you reccomend going an electronic one or a new one like the stocky?
  9. So today I set to the first bit of work on it, by draining the radiator and flushing everything out of it in hope that this was the cause of the overheating problem, although unfortunatley it doesnt seem this is so. If anyone has any tips on what else could be the over heating problem, because I don't want to do the head yet unless I have too, that would be great. After radiator was all good again, I set to cleaning the shit out of the engine bay, and went to town on it with degreaser and its looking absolutley stunning, that stuff is a lifesaver. Also scrubbed everything off the battery terminals as it wasn't connecting brilliantly. Next up: Identify source of overheat problem (it's only taking like 5 minutes of idling for it to be off the charts hot) Register and get it on the road Rust around boot lid Further down the track: Major rust Chrome bumpers Quad Lights New head Exractors and Webber ????? Profit
  10. On tuesday I bought myself a gold XX ke70 for under a grand, interior was quite immaculate, but has problems with the engine running too hot, possibly head gasket or head, and some fairly big rust holes down under the boot. Other then that, I was very satisfied, even the dash is almost perfect! one little crack. Plan is to build it up, to an immaculate streeter, with a bit of a JDM feel, chrome bars, quad lights, carby 4age further down the track. I know a thread is useless with out pics, but camera was dead, so this is all I have at the moment. More photos to come of rust damage when my camera is working.
  11. I know how to fibreglass, but can't weld for shit, + its right on the bottom side where its all rounded so i figured glassing would be easier.
  12. The bottom of each side of the boot has rusted through, hole i can fit 4 fingers through. I got told fibreglassing is best, what would you think?
  13. Wikid ill have to check them out What sort of turbo would you recommend?
  14. Wanna sell your 7k? The only reason I went with 7k turbo is because I thought it would be cheaper
  15. I've worked out absolutely nothing, had no idea a 7k would cost that much. I'm probably better turboing a 4age if that's the case
  16. Considering putting a 7k in a ke70 and chucking a turbo on it, Would it be worth it? And how much would it cost roughly
  17. unigraphics nx 6 for the win
